Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the moorpark nursing program for Fall admission! I've seen previous threads where people start receiving admission decisions in March so I thought it was appropriate time to start the thread since were reaching the end of February.
I'm actually an alternate too. And I don't know my exact points. But I have an AA, a 3.9 overall, all As with one B in core sciences and a 94 on the TEAS. I think being an alternate is less about points and more about waiting our turn for the next semester, with the chance of getting picked up for Fall. I now know of at least five alternates that I've directly heard about. Congrats to everyone. 😊

Sorry you haven't heard anything yet. They called me on Monday. My stats are really good, but I have heard of people getting accepted as alternates with decent stats, too. I hope you get a call.....

Hi yeah, I got a call on Monday for Alternate. My overall GPA was a 3.56, science prereqs were all A's and one B and my TEAS was a 85.3. I also have a bachelors degree already. First time applicant so I am happy for that, but its definitely possible for anyone

Same! I think its just they wanted us but not enough room for this group so far, so at least we have our spots for Spring, but I am hopeful we get pulled up for Fall!

Congratulations! I hope so, too! But having any spot is something for me to celebrate... If you think about it, it's less than nine months away. Time flies 🙂
The tea (online) is less than 3 weeks, so we can look forward to that...

Same! I am just so happy to have got in and I'm looking forward to starting. Excited for the Tea as well and definitely looking to see what I can start prepping for 😁

Luckily, I completed my AA in December. Prior to doing so, I ordered my HS transcripts. I got an email like five weeks later saying they were starting on it. Had I been counting on it, it would have been too late. LAUSD is extremely slow in fulfilling these requests. Really sucks, and I'm sorry that happened to you. Make sure to reapply for Spring. I always call after ordering transcripts and verify they're received. You honestly can't count on anyone but yourself these days. I know that doesn't help now. Good luck to you 🙂

I called the health center to make an appt for the physical and she told me to wait until the tea on the 8th and you will have lots more information.

I got my acceptance letter on the 14th and turned it in one the 15th. I got confirmation yesterday that it was received. I have a friend who is in the program now and she absolutely loves it.
Since we are the only ones responding on this thread, let's keep each other in the loop 😉 We don't want to miss any of these important dates.
