what do you do with moochers?
All true, it's a judgment call. Slackers are weeded out in clinical - assuming your instructors know what they're doing.Great way to exercise your critical thinking skills, I guess. For me it's easy to see who cares about what they're doing and who is just in it for the job - maybe it's not so easy for others.
Just saying no to anyone who asks for help is going to make you the class jerk really quick, though. Which is why I think it really depends on the situation.
Agreed, (as I remember) from the OP's comments it seemed to be more of a situation of some folks trying to take advantage, and using guilt as a motivator. The problem was that she didn't know how or if she could say no....we were merely letting her know that it could be very simple...just two letters, and no justification needed. :)
For me, once someone tries to make it my problem for them passing....well, all bets are off.
Peace,
CuriousMe
Never had anyone try to cheat off of me(that I know of) but one girl in my class asked if she could have copies of my notes since the instructor had said I was one of the stronger students..Didn't mind at first but then I kept noticing that she would goof off in class and didn't take notes..she also complained that I had sloppy handwriting. After that, I cut her off..I don't mind helping but I'm not taking notes for you when you aren't taking the whole thing seriously.
