Published

Hello all! I graduated lpn nursing school in July and have not takin my boards yet!

Money wise its difficult but its beyond that. I struggled hard core in class to pass so I feel as if its going to b e the same for the boards. Noone from my class has failed so I'm becoming a bit more positive.

Real question..what did you study..when did you study. .how long did you study.

Ive looked this up and I still do not feel confident with the old suggestions.

Im a single mom of a four year old so its hard to find time for anything. Im only working part time at 11 an hour and its not cutting it anymore

Plz help

I studied the Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN book. I answered about 100 questions a day for about 6 weeks. I completed the LVN program in mid October 2005 and took and passed NCLEX-PN on December 28, 2005.

Statistics indicate that the longer you wait, the more likely you'll fail. Instead of putting it off out of fear of failure, I would buckle down, study for it, and take it. Good luck to you!

Yes I know that the longer you wait the worse you do. I will def need to do questions..

Thank you

I graduated 2/11 & took the NCLEX 4/11. I bought 2 books & I tried using them. I believe one was Saunders & the other was Kaplan. I was overwhelmed & found an app on my smart phone for $8. So I stopped using the books & just used the app. Needless to say I passed with the minimal # of questions, so the app is a good resource too.

Awesome..what id the name of the app..im alwayz on my phone

Upward Mobility & it's now $5.99. You can test yourself, time yourself & go over remediation too. It clearly explains the rationals & everything you need to know. I loved it!

Omg thanks! Def going to get it

Also, the longer you wait, the easier it becomes to keep putting it off. We have people who post here once in a while about how they graduated school five, eight, ten (or more) years ago and have never taken boards -- you don't want to end up being one of those people!

No one ever feels like they're really ready for the exam -- you just have to suck it up and do it. Best wishes!

Wow..years? I definitely do not want to be waiting that long...im working just part time to study so im hoping right aftet Christmas. .

Thanks for all the kind words :)

nikki - I studied saunders "nclex-pn examination" 4th edition exclusively to prep. I did every single one of the 3700 bonus questions on CD, also memorized lab values, using mneumonic devices whenever helpful (several of which I got right here on AN).

the CD will concentrate on information that will probably appear on the nclex, will also give you a good idea on how questions are worded, answers and justifications for same.

quit messin around, start studying, and don't wait any longer to take the test.

Now that you're answering questions with the app and getting your brain back into the game, please go online to PV and SIGN UP!!!

There's a 100% chance you'll fail if you don't take the test. :dead:

Sending hugs...you can do it!!!
