9 month LPN- RN Bridge Programs in Atlanta GA

Updated:   Published

:yeah:I'm currently a LPN that needs some help I heard from many people that there's a bridge program in Atlanta, Ga where you only meet once a week and finish your degree in nine months. I need the name to the program or number or something.

I have a hard time believing that...

Several schools have bridge programs for LPNs. Chattahoochee Tech.... Georgia Perimeter.... NGCSU..... Those are the colleges off of the top of my head. Georgia Highlands may have a bridge as well.

I went to an accelerated 10.5 month bridge program and it was pretty much a 4-5 week a day thing. It was hard as heck...but, so was the accelerated lpn school I went too. When I say accelerated, I mean they were long class days and long clinical days but the program was condensed into a shorter period of time overall.

What LPN and bridge programs did you attend? Were they in Ga?

Wow that's great. Is it an accredited program? Do they offer that in New Jersey or Maryland?

the name of it is called Kaylim career center in Atlanta GA

Specializes in UR/PA, Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, Psych.

I'm currently in a LPN to BSN program that is of course considerably longer than nine months. I just don't think I'd feel appropriately trained in nine months of once weekly course work to take on the role of a RN.

The degree would be granted by Excelsior College. It is not necessary to attend Kaylim to get the degree since you will have to enroll in EC anyway. I've heard that by attending Kaylim some students are better able to retain the info as opposed to complete self-study but to each his/her own. I'm currently an Excelsior student living in rural GA and am managing to study on my own and successfully completing the required tests. So I say if Kaylim is something that appeals to you go for it; but remember that you don't have to enroll in Kaylim to complete the nursing program.
