Montgomery College Nursing Spring 2022

Hello everyone !! I decided to create this thread for anyone applying to Montgomery College Spring 2022 nursing program in Takoma Park, MD. Did you guys finish all your priority courses?  Have you taken the TEAS? Have you already submitted your application? The deadline is August 1st and we will be receiving an answer via email sometime in September. Let's support each other through this entire journey and share our experiences.

Hello everyone I emailed Ms. Davis to see when we should expect an answer and she told me to please refer to the application for the notification timeline and this is what I found!!

I know for the student who applied for Spring 2020 they found out the second week of September but last year for Spring 2021 they found out the last week of September. In the information session they said between the second week and four week of September. I hope we hear from them on  the second week of September and not the last week ?

Hi all. I see Microbiology is no longer listed on the classes. I remember that was a requirement to apply for nursing. Does anyone know what changed/why?

I just noticed that too! I don’t remember they mentioning anything about it in the information session.

Weird, right?! Micro should definitely be required.

Yes, it is super weird that all of the sudden they removed it from the requirement list. I know that Micro is a requirement for the BSN.

Micro is still required for the ADN program, just not for the application.

They used to have Micro as a priority class and then took that away. I remember last year micro ‘was’ required and had to be completed to submit an application to the nursing program. Now it’s not. I like when things are straightforward.

@Islandtime I completely get how you’re feeling and microbio was so hard for me. It’s a miracle I passed!

Microbiology was hard I took it during Summer and was even worse, but I hope all we can get Into the program next semester ????, I’m nervous cause I heard fall is very competitive but Spring not too much I hope it’s the same and we all have a chance to get in!

Yes, Microbiology was hard and the labs were stressful. I remember how much I struggled to get a B on the class.

Microbio left me traumatized. Especially for the exam labs. Staying up and studying the bacteria’s ?
