So I figured I would start a new thread for those applying to Montgomery College in Spring 2015.
I had applied to the nursing program in the fall of 2015 but was put on a "wait list" which was not used because my AP 1 and 2 were over 5 years old. I have since taken a pathophysiology class and so now the AP 1 and 2 will be counted towards the four core course requirements. I have a 3.45 GPA, I scored an 82.7 on my Teas, and I have all four of the required prerequisites finished.
I really hope I get in this time or I don't know what I am going to do. I have heard the spring semester is easier to get in which makes sense because you don't have all the high school seniors that will be graduating applying. Anyway good luck to everyone applying!
I emailed the coordinator for the program and asked her when letters will be mailed to us but she only replied "October". So, I don't know if it is the beginning, middle or end of the month. I did not want to push it and email her again so.. I guess I will just wait! If anyone else has a more specific date please let us know...
Hi there, I also applied for Spring 2015. Good luck to everyone!
I applied for Spring of 2014 and I got in, but I ended up dropping out during the fist week due to personal reasons.
I think everyone gets in as long as they have their priority courses finished. I had all mine completed but my teas score wasn't very good at all but I still got in. So hopefully I get in again!!
Xtina, when you say your TEAS score wasn't very good at all, what was it? Mine wasn't good either, but yours was probably better than mine. LOL. Unfortunately, I know they don't accept everyone, because someone a year or so ago had a 71 on their TEAS score and was not accepted, which scares me since I only got a 70.
I am also concerned about my TEAS score. I took it after being out of school for 5 years and with minimal prep. I scored a 77 overall and planned to retake it but got busy with school and all of the sudden I didn't have time. I had to take pathophysiology since my A & P was 5 years old , (which btw, I loved Dr. Barrie so much I retook A&P I and II with him over the summer). I also took micro, stats, and a random art course to fulfill that req for future BSN. I'm currently taking EMR, Nutrition, and ethics just to kill time waiting to hear about the ADN program. I didn't apply anywhere else because I truly can't afford to go anywhere else and the program at MC really fulfilled my needs. I am grateful to be in touch with you guys-it helps to ease the anxiety some...I am also returning to school after a lot of life and feel very old to be doing this all at 35 (and this is not my second degree lol). My name is Kim...glad to be in a boat with you guys!

MCapplicant, no worries on where you get in with taking those classes. They will all transfer for your BSN even is you go through MC's ADN program. MC has several transfer agreements with other colleges for your BSN/MSN.
