Hello everyone ?!! I decided to create this thread for anyone applying to Montgomery College Fall 2020 nursing program. Did you guys finish all your priority courses? Are you guys still getting prepare to take the TEAS? Did you guys already take TEAS? Have you guys already submitted your application? By the way, the deadline is April 1st. Come and share your progress and let's support each other through this entire journey. Hope to hear from you all!!

I took my pre reqs at various different schools (I did alot of moving around). I graduated with my B.S in Business Administration and MBA. Those majors didn't have the same requirements, so the remaining classes, I took online at the university of Phoenix. I just scheduled to take the TEAS on 4/21 but its all the way in Richmond Virginia (it was the only option that was close enough (2 hr drive) and be able to get the test done before the deadline). Do you know why the micro you took wasnt accepted?

The reason why she didn't accept my Microbiology was because I took it at a private school that is it not well recognize in U.S. If you took yours at University of Phoenix you should be fine because that's a accredited school in the U.S. I have been planning to take my TEAS on 4/21 too in the Laurel PSI center you should call and see if you change your location to the center in Laurel so you do not have to drive that far away.

Go to this page https://candidate.psiexams.com/ and on the bottom of the page click where is says check available test date and then enter you zip code. I read that some PSI center will resume test on April 15th.

Thank you!! @jbren there will be an online nursing information session on Monday April 6th at 4:00 pm. I will be posting the link with additional information on a post so we can connect and I'm sure that she will give us an estimation of when letters will be send out.

Today I found out that there will an online MC Nursing program information session via Zoom on April 6th at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. In the nursing application checklist it says that we must attend a information session. I will post down below a link that has additional information including Zoom meeting ID and Password.

@Tatiana Berrios I saw the Zoom session, I think ill try to listen in. I've gone to a session already but in light of everything thats going on, I could use the updated information ..plus, ill most likely just be at home anyway LOL. How did you do on your pre-reqs? And your GPA? Do you feel like you have a competitive application? I'm so-so. The point system they're using is a little weird, like especially calculating GPA, since theres a science one and an overall (last 24 credits). Like does the science one include the prerequisite 150? What if my prereqs like English aren't part of my last 24 credits, etc. These things weren't answered in my last info session which is why ill listen in on the next one...

Waiting for letters to go out is going to be the worst, especially if we're still under quarantine!

@jbrenI did good in my pre-requisites and I already completed all of my priority course. According to my last 24 hours credit calculation (I don't know if my calculation are right) my GPA is 2.60. I know they only count the last 24 credits starting from your last semester. Hopefully we will get more information about this fall semester application process.

Anyone still havent taken the TEAS yet? What are your plans since most testing sites are closed?

@ES_DOT I've already taken it, but you should listen in on the Zoom session today to see if that is addressed, I'm sure you aren't the only one with that question. It's also the last session before applications are due so it'll have the most up-to-date info.

@ES_DOT I still haven't take mine yet, I will schedule mine today to take it in 2 weeks at a PSI center in Laurel, MD. I really will be praying to God so this coronavirus situation doesn't keep getting out of control ,so we can take our test. Prof. Matthew she is the Chair of the Nursing Dept yesterday in the meeting she said that MC accept PSI results, and when we mail out the application we need to attach the exam report and score to the application.

Hey @Tatiana Berrios

I contacted PSI today to try in get into the laurel, ellicott city or baltimore location before 5/1, unfortunately those testing sites are either closed or dont have anything available. I am stuck going to Richmond VA. I missed the info sesssion yesterday, any info you can share?

@jbren The zoom meeting was yesterday, I know you had a question of when we should be getting the acceptance letter for the fall semester and she said we should receive it within the last week of May or beginning of June. Do you mind if I ask you what was your overall TEAS score and reading score?

WOW!, I'm a dummy. Well, since we missed it, @Tatiana Berrios, is there anything worth noting from the information session? Did she say how many applicants they're expecting from this cycle? or anything about acceptance thats worth noting? Sorry! I didn't realize it was yesterday otherwise I would've gotten the info myself haha ?

@ES_DOT That's very strange because when I look up the schedule online there is a lot availability. I just call in but they give me very limited information, the man that assisted me on the phone he told me that I need to get a file number from ATI and that whole process take about a week. How did it take you to scheduled your exam? Is that true that it takes about week to get approval from ATI?. Yesterday Prof. Matthew said that there will be no more extension of the application deadline and that we need to mail in our application with the TEAS report and score.
