I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?
Thx,
Nikki
It'll probably workout that we have at least one class together. And we can also try to meet for labs. I've already taken BI203, all I have remaining are the NU courses. Are you guys still anxious? I am... still worried about not getting in. BUT, I'm trying to be as positive as you, Marissa.
All the other schools require so many more prereqs. I didn't want to spend another 1-2 yrs taking them to get in. I figured if I worked my butt off with MC's prereqs and did well on the teas I'd get in. Hopefully I was right. It would be nice if they would just say, "ok, check your My MC account on May 1st to see if you've been accepted." Give a concrete date and an electronic way to access your status.
For some reason, I'm not terribly anxious. I suppose I'm assuming that we'll all get in because we have good grades and did well on the TEAS. Besides, if we don't get in this fall, we can always apply for the spring. At least, that's how I'm looking at it. That's my plan B.
What is BI203?
That's one disadvantage of a 4yr degree. I needed one more course (SP108 of all things) and couldn't fit that in. I felt the same way about working my butt off @ MC and the TEAS, thought that would be enough to get into the program. My TEAS score is what worries me. Your TEAS score is absolutely high enough to put you on the top of the list. If I had your score, I'd be much more relaxed :) I agree that MC should have an electronic way to access status; many other schools have it. Perhaps this will be the last weekend of waiting and we'll all be congratulating each other.
Kristian-I'm not always so optimistic, but I am very persistent. If I'm passionate about something, I pursue it with complete focus and determination. That's not to say that I don't get discouraged along the way, but my drive to attain it always perserveres in the end.
Nikki-I have taken Micro. already. I took it in the fall of 2009.

I think the lab is opened throughout the week and they notify you on specific days and times (maybe on a weekly basis?) It's confusing...
Nikki- I plan to have the same schd unless it's a problem with work. It would be nice to avoid all that traffic.
