Montgomery College, how long?

I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?

I'm sure it did too, but I tend to get a bit paranoid about anything that's so vital to my future. I almost wish I'd just mailed it. Oh, well.

I'm thinking that we won't hear anything until the beginning of May. It looks like that's when people started getting acceptance letters last year. But, on the other hand, I don't think they extended the deadline last year, so it may be a week or two later. We'll hear something soon.

Are you thinking about working while you're in the program? I may not have a choice, unless Beth gets a higher paying job between now and the start of the fall semester. Or, maybe a second job on top of the one she already has. It's going to be tight, for sure.

I'm thinking it'll be some time in May. I'm working PT now and I plan to at least keep those hours. Although I'd consider working on a FT basis, from what I've been reading, it'll be hard enough trying to juggle a PT job and life in general; while keeping up with the requirements of the program.

Well I tried registering for classes and it wouldn't let me. I agree that it probably won't be until the first or second week of May that we can expect to hear anything.

I just received a call from Marjorie Davis, the acting registrar at Montgomery, and she said that they have my application and that notification letters will be mailed out the first week of May (next week!!!). :) Here's to all of us getting in.

Nikki- I looked over the schd. for Fall. I'll most likely do a Mon, Wed or Mon, Fri. for classes.

How did you guys access the schedule of classes for fall? Everytime I click on "schedule of classes", I just get a blank page.

Do you guys know if the lab portion of Nu 110 is being offered at the same time/days as lecture? I didn't see any dates/times listed under lab. Unless I'm missing something.

When I looked at the schd. about a week ago, there was no info for the lab portion. I haven't revisited it again. It should be updated after the letters go out.

ya, that lab confused me. i'm not sure how that works. but when i was talking to a nursing student who works on the germantown campus, she made it sound like you only have to put in 5 hours of lab time (but you usually put in much more). so it sounds like it is done on your own time. i really don't know/understand.

as it stands now, i am thinking of the following schedule. will i see any of you? or course, that is if i get in.

105 10-10:50

110 12-3:50

friday

121 10-12:50

i'm trying to avoid rush hour traffic.
