I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?
Thx,
Nikki
Thanks for the info. Your instructor sounds a lot easier than what I've read about Escobar. But I think I've come to the decision today to just wait. I have other summers and winter sessions to take these classes. And if I don't get in to MC then I will also proceed. But $400+ for a month long class that isn't an immediate necessity is quite pricey and I don't think my husband was really too gung ho to shell it out right now. I was never too excited to go back to school over the summer either since I knew how tough nursing was going to be.
Man you all must find me so irritating...complaining and changing my mind all the time. LOL. Thanks for listening and for the suggestions...to everyone who has responded.

You're welcome Nikki. Decisions are tough at times.
A portion of the class was a review of A & P. I had Lombardo-took an evening class, 6-9:20? (Monday was all that was offered in the fall). We had 4 homework assignments: i.e. planning a menu, assessing a food choice. We also had an analysis project, my paper was about 20 pgs long. You basically analyze your diet and lifestyle and write about the nutrients, vitamins and minerals (abundance/lacking) and what you can do to improve them. There was also a presentation: pick a topic and educate the class. All exams were take home, including the final (I think 4 exams, 1 final). It was based off the textbook. It certainly gave people and opp. to raise their grades, but it was lengthy (around 125 questions) and not all answers were available in the book, and other resources didn't help...had to take the best educated guess. It was hard to sit still for all that time (no break-too much to cover). We were let out early a few times.
