Montgomery College, how long?

Published

I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?

Thx,

Nikki

I'm so frustrated right now. I'm in MyMCs website looking for summer classes trying to figure out what to do. Trouble is finding a sitter this late notice for a month. I would need chemistry, nutrition, human development, and statistics. I won't do chemistry in the summer as it would be too hard. I think human development would be interesting and would rather not condense it into a summer class. Stats might be hard over summer too. I am trying for nutrition.

I def. understand the frustration. Seriously trying to not beat my head against the wall...I took Stat last summer with Kotz. A lot condensed into a short 3-3 1/2 wks. Very good instructor and I enjoyed the class. I didn't know Human Growth was offered during the summer. I took it during spring w/ Dr. Kramer.

I think Stat or Nutrition (took it w/ Lombardo past fall) would be fine for a summer course. Don't know how the syllabus is for the summer, but we had to write 6 papers for Human Growth.

Ya, Kotz is teaching it. But I have yet to submit my transcripts for review at UMD and I took a media stats class as part of my degree so I am hoping they will accept that.

I wish we could just call and ask them to look us up so we know and we can move on with our lives. If I got in, then I don't need to sit here wasting time trying to figure out a summer schedule, negotiating with the sitter, and stressing.

If I don't get in, and UMD says they won't take my stats class I will take that during the second summer session.

Just found this on USPS website:

Due to extraordinary security precautions, the delivery length for Registered Mail may be 10-14 days.

Sounds like a good plan. But really, I don't see a logical reason for you to be rejected. The more we think about all the things on our plate, the more stress we experience. Try to relax your mind. I should listen to my own advice...

I guess I just worry that something got overlooked which would mess things up for me. And I am still wondering if I should just get the BSN even though DH says to go the ADN route. I found out that I don't need to have all prereqs complete before I apply, but I have to be done by the time I would start (obviously) which is different from MC, where you are supposed to complete them before even applying. So really I'd only be set back a semester and could start in the spring at UMD Shady Grove...if I get accepted. I wonder if my chances are better for getting in for spring rather than fall.

Ya, I know. It's all the "what if's".... From everything I've read or heard, there are less apps for spring.

I have been asking people all around and everyone (99%) is telling me to get the BSN. I posted it on 3 different forums here, I spoke with someone at UMD, nursing friends on facebook, etc.
