Montgomery College, how long?

Published

I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?

Thx,

No I haven't yet. Kind of waiting to see if I got in first to do that and the CPR/First Aid. But if I still don't hear anything by the end of next week, I may just go ahead and do those things so I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the summer.

My logic is the same as Back's. I'm waiting to hear from MC before I proceed.

Not until I get my letter of acceptance.

I decided to wait as well. Have you looked over the student handbook on the nursing website? Pages 18 & 19 cover vaccs/titers, CPR cert., background/drug tests. The handbook is under Student Info.

I haven't looked at the handbook, but I have the handouts from the orientation I went to last spring. I'll check the handbook, though, just in case they've made any changes. Thanks for the info.

Page 22 has lab info and number of hrs required for courses.

Okay, thanks Kristian.

You're welcome Marissa.

I felt the need to call MC...just spoke with admissions and the nursing dept...Admissions: letters will go out next wk or the following. Nursing dept: letters will go out by the end of the month. Acceptance letters will be registered. Sorry if I've caused anyone more anxiety and frustration by calling.

I'm over it. I was relaxed before all of this back and forth from the admissions office and nursing department about when the letters would be sent out. Sometimes it's better to just not think about it. When it arrives, it arrives. It's completely out of our hands, unfortunately.

OMG! Again???? This is pretty much messing up my plans. If I don't get accepted I was going to take a UMD prereq over summer I, which will apparently start before we even get the dang letters. When you say registered, does that mean we have to sign for it?

I know, what a pain. It monitors movement of mail 'till delivery, but I'm not sure about the signature. I think signature confirmation is an additional service. I neglected to ask when I called admissions and the nursing dept.
