Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
royal blue isn't bad.
Now I am wondering if going with something other than a Littmann would do. Littmann is more money but I think others would do the trick. I think a stetho of a different brand would also be less likely to disappear. So I am trying to read reviews of other stethos...sprague, ADC, prestige. I could pay half the cost and save some money.
I read on AN that all three brands are very good. I guess it's really a matter of personal preference. Personally, I don't really care about the make and model, just want to be able to hear clearly. I chose Littman cuz that's what most professionals seem to be using, and since I have no real prior experience w/ steths, I don't know how to compare the quality between different brands. Thought I'd make it easier on myself and go with it.
Have you read this thread?

Well I decided to opt for the Adscope-lite 609, based on reviews. I purchased it on Medexsupply.com. I didn't see an option for engraving but I can deal with that or can take it to a jeweler. The scopes were under $15 so I ordered 2, in case one gets lost, stolen, forgotten. I also purchased a pocket organizer with bandage scissors, penlight, pen. I had to order the kelly forceps separate. I found a 10% off coupon so I basically got the forceps for free. Shipping was under $8. So my total cost was just under $45.
