Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

I think we'd be excused in that case.

Just a quick note for everyone ordering their steths…

I just got mine (Littmann Classic II) off this site - free shipping and free laser engraving with 5% off (promo: faceb11).

What color did everyone get? I am a little OCD and need things to coordinate but I decided on the Raspberry steth cause I figured it would have less chance of walking away.

As for shoes.. I am wavering between these 2, if I don't find danskos for a majorly discounted price:

I know the Propet brand were recommended by others here but these are the 2 I have narrowed down to based on reviews/recommendations/price:

Skechers Sassies: http://www.zappos.com/skechers-work-sassies-s-r-impressive-white

or

Cherokee Compulsion: http://www.allheart.com/ckcompuls.html

Hi Rosh,

Thanks for the link/info on the stethos. I know we were all planning to get one of the kits at redding medical. It seemed like a good deal. But I might get the lightweight and I can't find a kit with those so this might be a good option.

As for shoes, hmmmm...I love sketchers. That is what I got. But I am wondering if the school will be ok with a mary jane style. To be on the safe side I'd say to go with the Cherokees. These are the shoes I got. I'm hoping I can get away with the little bit of gray.

I was going to go with the caribbean blue. I kind of want something that is going to blend with my uniform. Perhaps the navy. I'm not a pink girl but I like purple. I looked around that website with the stethoscopes. I had my picked out but saw I needed to spend a few more bucks to get the free shipping. I thought I'd get that organizer kit but it only comes in hot pink. Not my style. I thought maybe just get a penlight. Still thinking. Looks like the free shipping ends today though.

Rosh, thanks for the link! I completely forgot about medisave.

OK girls...I did some comparing and decided to order the stethoscope (Classic II SE in ceil blue) @ medisave. As Rosh stated, the engraving is free and ships free via USPS priority mail.

I ordered the pocket instrument holder (in white) w/ instruments and the ADC BP cuff @ redding. It was almost $9 cheaper ordering those separately. It was less cuz redding charges tax and shipping. The cost was $66.49 for the steth and $59.80 for the other items.

Rosh, I vote for the Sketchers!

Forgot to mention that redding gives an option for free hand engraving of initials (2) for the instruments.

Am I wrong...it appears that by ordering the stetho and pocket organizer w/tools separately, it is like $5 cheaper. I was just going to go for the cheapest kit since I don't want to get a BP cuff or clipboard. Now I'm waivering on color again. I'm tempted to go with navy. I think it looks sharp and would look good with the uniform.

I was going to order this kit @ redding, but it would have been $134.96 (w/ engraving, shipping and tax). The separate order was $126.96. Is medisave still doing free ship? I also used the coupon code Rosh posted for 5% off.

Here's the kit I ordered:

Oh, what do you think about the royal blue tubing?
