Montgomery College, Fall 2011, 1st semester students

Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Sorry meant to type around $150.

Well I looked around a bit and they definitely seem reasonable, if not cheapest. So I guess I will order from there. They told me to just come in to try stuff on cause I had no idea what size I would need or how things would fit my severely pear-shaped figure. I guess since we don't need most of that stuff for some time I will hold off a couple more weeks and go down there on a Saturday when DH can stay with the kids and I can focus.

Which sites did you ck out? So, the vendor's prices are more reasonable than we thought. It'll be a good idea to try on anyway. Did they at least give you an idea of how the sizes run: whether it's true to size or runs small or lg?

I didn't find a whole lot. I found the pants but they were more money. I read the reviews of them though and they were good. I couldn't find the tunic top. I found the jacket and it was about the same. The price for the lightweight stetho was comprable.

No idea how the sizes run.

I looked up Mansir on rateyourprofessor.com. She got really good compliments.

$150 actually doesn't sound too bad considering everything you got. And them sewing on the insignia is free right? That sucks that they didn't really let you test out the scopes. I'm definitely still gonna go for the kit on Redding. Purple!!! But you guys already knew that ;)

So both of you are doing the same clinical? 3-8:10 at MG on Tues and Wed? I'm gonna have to tweak my choices cuz SG was my 3rd choice and right now MG is my 2nd choice but it's so far for me. About 25-30 minutes away with no traffic. Suburban is way closer BUT getting out at 5 means I'll be hitting MAJOR rush hour traffic (and I know from personal experience cuz I used to work 2 miles away from Suburban and it would take me about 45 minutes to get home in traffic when it would only take 15 minutes in no traffic). Probably less traffic getting to MG at 3 and leaving at 8, don't you think? I HATE being so confused!!!

Yeah, I didn't find much to compare and I couldn't find the top at all. Hopefully the pants will be comfortable. I find elasticized waists constricting. I think I'm going to call them to ask about engraving and if they do that I might get the scope and other equipment there to save on shipping costs.

OK I just discussed it with my mom and she thinks going to Bethesda 1 day per week will definitely be better on gas than going to Olney 2 days per week, traffic included. So I'm gonna stick with Suburban as my #1, but didn't you say there seemed to be a high demand for the 1-day clinicals? That sucks...still hoping for a low # then.

Yeah, $150 isn't bad. Yes, they sew it on @ no charge, I wonder how much they sell that at the book store.

Yes, we both have MG on T/W at 3-8:10. A plus in no traffic generally either way. It would be great if we all had clinical together! Nikki and I don't have any classes together.

How are you guys gonna tackle this reading? How are you gonna take notes? I read somewhere that index cards on a key ring are extremely helpful because it not only is portable but it keeps your notes together, neat and in order. I think I'm going to try this and see how it works. Gotta hit Staples tomorrow for TONS of index cards! Lol

I think that's what ppl were saying about the 1-day. Suburban got filled faster. My friend who had #34 was able to get his 2nd choice @ SG-W all day.

Nikki, if I get my first or second choice it doesn't look like you and I will have any classes or clinical together :(

Kristian, what classes did you get?
