Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
Hey girls, I hope we get a low number. Andrea, hang in there, your day will be here sooner than you think! Nikki, I'm bringing a magazine or two, maybe a book and my ipod (and maybe my pc). I wonder if it'll take 4 yrs.
Did you already order the dictionary? I got the Taber's. And yes, I got the APA pub. manual. I haven't skimmed through it. I think it's reference for writing papers. Does that mean we'll be writing papers too? Have your choices changed?
I think I will just bring a book and my phone to play games. If we are there on time I don't think it will take us 4 hours.
Yes, I already got my dictionary. I will see what the others run$$$. I can't return the one I got cause it was used on half.com. Oh boy, the APA is for writing???? That stinks!
I have 3 clinical options. The rest of my schedule revolves around that and if I am able to get my first choice for classes. I've got 3 options for afternoon clinicals and 3 options in case I am stuck with morning clinicals.
My first clinical choice is SG in the afternoon, then MG in the afternoon, then SG in the morning on TH/F. My youngest is starting a transition preschool Tuesday mornings so I didn't want to be in clinical at that time. It is only an hour 1x/wk and I get to sit behind a one way mirror and watch him.
As for classes. I am aiming to take 105 and 110 on Mon from 10am-3:50pm. Second choice is from 2pm-7:50pm. NU121 first choice is Fri 10-12:50 IF I get the afternoon clinical. Otherwise it would be Wed from 11-1:50, if I'm stuck with the morning clinical. My last option for all clinicals is to do all day Monday.
Probably won't get all that as written but organized on paper it makes sense.
Oh as for getting online to register...I don't know if that means we would still need sign up for classes after we get our schedule approved or it can all be done there tomorrow.
I enjoy writing papers but I'd rather not have to deal w/ it this semester.
I still have all day classes on Mon as my 1st and 2nd:
1st- NU110 8-11:50, NU105 1-1:50, NU121 3-5:50
2nd- NU121 8-10:50, NU105 2-2:50, NU110 4-7:50
Clinical: 1st- T, W SG aftnoon, 2nd- T, W MG aftnoon, 3rd- W all day Sub.
3rd- Mon: NU105 10-10:50, NU110 12-3:50, Tue: NU121 11-1:50
Clinical: 1st- W all day Sub. 2nd- W all day SG, 3rd- W all day MG
4th- Mon: NU105 10-10:50, NU110 12-3:50, Thu: NU121 9-11:50
Clinical: 1st- W all day Sub, 2nd- W all day SG, 3rd- T all day SG

Kristian, what are you planning to bring to keep yourself occupied for up to 4 hours?
I finally retrieved my docs and I have some questions. For registration it says we will need to register online once our schedule form has been completed, according to the instructions given. Is this still the case or did they eliminated that part cause I don't recall her saying we had to register online too.
Also, looking at the clinical schedule. If we do SG can we do it wed w/bount and thurs w/odubayo? I doubt it but thought I would ask.
I'm also realizing that on the book list it gave a choice of 3 med dictionaries to choose from. I didn't see this before. I just read that it said medical dictionary of your choice. Ugh. Did you guys get the APA publication manual listed for NU105? It is a reference book but not sure if it was actually required.
Ok, I've got my copy packet in my notebook. I've got my 2 schedule choices, though I'm thinking a 3rd might be wise. Actually, looking at it...I may change my 2nd choice and make my current 2nd choice my 3rd. Boy, am I annoying or what!
