Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
Lets see...required I have...
1. Fundamentals of Nursing
2. Health Assessments
3. Clinical Drug Therapy
4. Nurses Pocket Guide: Diagnosis, etc
5. Calculate with Confidence
So with the drug pocket handbook then that is 6????
Busy? Yes, Andrea. And did you see now I'm being summoned for potential jury duty? I have to fill out the survey. One of the questions asks if I am a full time student and requires proof. I wanted to say that I am but without a fall schedule yet, I have no way of proving it. I need to go get a student ID. I've got an MC # but not an actual ID. That might suffice but they are requiring this to be returned in a matter of days. I wonder if I can go to the Germantown campus and get one????
I love hand-me-downs! My cousin is 6 and my son is 4 so he gets all of my cousin's clothes and shoes (it helps that my cousin is a boy! Lol). I hate the summer/winter switching of clothes, cuz that's usually when I also go through everything to see if it still fits and that can be such a chore.
Hershey will be my son's first real experience at an amusement park. We went to Busch Gardens when he was 2 but that was mostly for the adults in the family since he was still too small to get on a lot of things. My stepdad has a beach house in Ocean City so we usually go there for a week every summer too but with all this nursing stuff and my husband's vacation schedule, it looks like that won't be happening this year.
I wonder what our first assignment will be. I've heard some horror stories about having to read something like 10 chapters before the semester starts.
I thought each campus had a student services type area. Just wasn't sure with summer hours. I'm sure I can look on their website.
OK, I just ordered my other books from Amazon. In all, for the 6 books, I paid about $200. Not too shabby for a full semester. I don't know if I get a CD with one of my used books though. I hope I don't really need it if not.

That really does add up! I've only gotten 2 books so far, together costing about $70. I'm probably going to get that Calculate book from amazon unless I can find as good of a deal as Kristian from textbooks.com. SO then I'd have to get the clinical drug therapy textbook and the nurse's pocket guide. I'm also planning to get the medical dictionary and pocket drug handbook that were recommended. That is only 5 required books. What else is required? I'm not getting anything else recommended unless I find a need for it.
Have fun at Hershey Andrea. We never go anywhere. Our last vacation was nearly a year ago and that was the first time since my oldest was born that we took a real vacation.
My mom is supposed to be visiting and should be here sometime today so I've been frantically cleaning/tidying up. Somehow I got distracted and am now switching out winter clothes and brining in all the old summer stuff we've saved from my oldest son. Let's just say his dresser is now well stocked.
