Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Thanks Tina. But I did actually try printing the certificate itself and it did the same thing. I even tried to save it to pdf and print screen and it still didn't show. It is probably some setting on my laptop or something else my techie husband would know how to fix.

sorry it wont print..what a pain....!

still trying to trudge through that Math, at least now I will be able to help my 5th grader with her's more often :-)

got all my candles, flashlights, downloading a kids movie for iPod as I write...just in case power goes out with Pepco (which is likely here in Takoma Park)....

Kristian, our power went out once a couple hours ago, but came right back on not even a minute later. We also have Pepco.

Nikki, did you get the ATI certificate to print? I just printed mine and printed most of the other documents for 105 and 121. I'm going to try to go to my mom's job tomorrow to print out the course guides since they're so long. My printer already is telling me to check my black ink cartridge!

I started organizing all my papers. Only did my binders for 105 and 121. I'll do my 110 binder after I put Dominic to bed in about 30 minutes. Looks like I need to read Ch.1 for NU 121 on Tuesday...

Still not printing, Nikki?

I'm surprised we didn't lose power again since I last posted. It's been raining steadily for hrs here.

Only did 6 pgs of math today. Dinner gave me really bad acid ingestion and not feeling up to hitting the books tonight. I should know better not to go all day w/ out much food...after days of doing that I usually end up suffering. Hopefully the alka seltzer will kick in sooner than later...

Anyone been on mymc lately or get any more emails w/ updates?

has anyone made an appt. yet with the woman who helps people get organized with the schedule, studying etc.? I am thinking of doing that...just curious

I haven't tried reprinting it tonight. DH said we'll do it in the morning (if we have power). So far our power has been fine but I guess the worst of it will hit in the middle of the night.

Kristian - sorry you aren't feeling well. You need to eat girl!

Andrea - who do you have for 121? I didn't see anything about homework/reading but I wasn't really looking for it either. Can you blame me??? LOL!

I just finished my 2nd chapter of notes in the Fundamentals book. I will do the 3rd tomorrow and hopefully get started on notes for calculations.

We still have power!

Tina, I haven't made an appt. I think I will sign up for the mentoring program first.

Thanks Nikki, the plan was to go to bed early last night but the ingestion kept me up. You're right, I need to keep to a reg. eating schd. I have no appetite in the morning and by the time I eat, hrs have gone by. I should change my workout time to the mornings hrs, that'll give me the incentive to fuel up. It's hard enough getting out of bed early, so we'll see how that goes...

Need to tackle the remaining math chapt...18 & 19 and read the 105 stuff we printed out.

On the weekly 110 schd., did anyone else see that we have a journal entry due next wk?

No power here either. Tina, I get those alerts so I'll post here if I hear anything about school being delayed/closed tomorrow. I really hope they turn our power back on in the next few hours. It's been out since prob 3am. Starting to feel cabin feverish in here, so we'll probably go out for a little while. Talk to you girls later!

Is the power back on yet? If not, I hope it's very soon. I'm still amazed that our power stayed on. Working on the calc. chapts. trying to finish them in a few hrs...would love to have the rest of the evening for some fun and relaxation.

Power just came back on about 30 minutes ago!!! YAY!!! :) Lots of trees down in my neighborhood; one even fell on someone's mini-van and there's a power line across another neighbor's yard. The wind was pretty horrific last night. The back of our house faces a wooded area with lots of tall, old trees. My bedroom and my son's bedroom are both in the back of the house. After hearing about the child that got killed in VA or NC (can't remember where) from a tree branch falling on the apartment, I moved him to my mom's bedroom which is at the front of the house where the one tree is smaller than the house. Hubby and I slept in the living room. I could NOT relax watching the trees sway back and forth in that wind! Glad there was no damage and our power was only out for 12 hours.

I got my voice recorder in the mail yesterday, so I'm playing with it a little now that our power's back on. Slowly working on index cards, putting some of the formulas and key concepts from Calculating on them. Still haven't printed the course guides for 105 or 121; may have to go to my mom's job early tomorrow morning and get those done.

Nikki, have you still not seen anything for 121? I have Padgett, Fuss, and Bertiz for 121. Under Course Docs, there is a Main Course Schedule doc that has all the assignments for each week. This Tuesday, we'll be going over Ch.1, and we're expected to have the readings done before coming to class. Also, looks like we have a quiz every week in that class.

Tina, I hope your power has been returned. I know how frustrating it can be to have no power with little ones at home. My son was so upset he couldn't watch Caillou this morning! Lol. But at least it's a nice day, so they can always play outside. We just came back from Brookside, so my son (4yrs old) was able to get a little exercise.

Hope everyone enjoys their last day before the next 2 years of our lives!! Lol :)
