Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

Thanks. I saw that in the instructions too...but the person recommending me is SO experienced and we got close on a job because our real "supervisor" was a dietitian and couldn't help when there were medically risky or complicated situations...it was a weird place to work, so...this lady (who is recommending me) became like my supervisor/mentor and she's the one who encouraged me to go for my RN. I will send it anyway and hope for the best. Thanks for the support guys...you have NO idea!

I didnt directly get mines signed by my supervisior either because she is new and she does not know me well enough yet so i asked one of the doctors i work with but he is the director of the department i work for and i asked another doctor also to sign.

My other co worker who applied last year got one of the nurse practioners to write her letter. In mines i have the company letter head and put how long i been working there

You should be fine then. I am sure she wrote a great letter for you. Go ahead and submit your application and good luck on your exam.

What’s up you amazing humans!!!! Has anyone heard anything I know it’s still super early.. how’s everyone and they’re nerves ?!! Cause mine are spiraling loll

My nerves are killing me! I don’t take my exam for another 2 weeks, but I’m feeling the pressure. It’s hard because I’m not certain that I’m covering every aspect of the exam, while I’m studying. Especially with math & science, I wish I’ll be able to set up every proportion, and answer every question asked, correctly!

Ok I’m having a slight panic attack, I haven’t heard back on confirmation for my testing date I send in my dates exactly 3 weeks ago! How long did it take you guys to hear back? I called and she said to be patient but I’m dying lol

I took it already and if I could remember anything I would tell you guys in a heart beat I was so nervous I felt pressured I was the only one taking it that day I just felt so thrown off and I got a 71 but everyone else’s scores are so amazing so the nerves are set even moreeee

Some of the questions were worded so strange, and I felt I could of studied a lot more and differently the Kaplan book did no justice the teas helped a little wish I studied more in the reading and writing. And wats really nerve racking me is I didn’t get my break down after I took the test that’s why I’ve been so hesitant to try and help people out cause I don’t even know what my worst subject was.
