Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

Absolutely. Last year when I applied and took the test there were dates into October and I took the test October 21st so im not sure if its just that this year it was so competitive that all the dates filled up.

I also applied last year but no luck, hopefully this year will be our time.

So Mauricia was their main person there, since she is not there it will slow down the process. Alot of people are waiting for test dates.

Hopefully we get them soon, ive only been studying for a few days since I applied late

Did anyone hear back about test dates? I tried calling but their mailbox is full ?

No, i emailed them because the message said the call volume is alot so to email. I haven't heard anything

Hi everyone so i just got a email back from chanelle hyde she wrote they are continuing to send kaplan test invitations this week and should receive an email by Friday and if not call on Monday

What are you guys using to study? And those who already took it what did you use and find most helpful? I bought the recommended Kaplan book and just made a study guide from cover to cover but I heard that it's not the best study tool. I also bought the Qbank questions from the website, I'm just wondering how similar the questions are to the ones on the test and if theres something else I should be reviewing as well

Also I’ve heard the kaplan book is the worst guide to study from, I have used the kaplan ATI TEAS book which is good as well as KNAT (kaplan nursing admissions test) book by smart edition And I think its great as well. For math and science help use khan academy and youtube. Hope this helps ? good luck!

Yes yes I got the ATI TEAS book not just the plain Kaplan one...it’s okay but the practice questions are so easy compared to the Qbank they have online!

Also I got my test ticket today I’m taking my test on the 18th!

Yes they added dates into early October
