Montefiore School of Nursing spring 2019

U.S.A. New York

Greetings, I just finish applying to Montefiore School Nursing for the Spring 2019. Is there any one else also looking to attend in 2019? I'd love to hear from you.

I've been following and finally decided to post since I didn't get in . I called Monday and they sent out all acceptance emails on Friday. No more acceptance emails will be sent out . A rejection letter will be emailed . Out of 200 students that took the entrance exam, they only accepted 44 students. I also live in CT and don't think that's the case because my sister is in their spring program . Not sure how the grading system is but I don't think it's fair how they decide if it's truly based on Kaplan scores . Btw there's no waiting list.

Thanks for the info... well there is a positive we can reapply

You can apply to the day program . The deadline is in March . I believe we would have to retake the Kaplan exam.

It's worth a shot plus we already know what to expect with the test

Agree! And I'll have more time to study since I applied last minute and had surgery . I literally studied 2 days before the exam .

What part of CT are you from?

Norwalk ; you ?

Norwalk ; you ?

Shut up! Me too

You must be younger or older than me because I don't know anyone by your name unless it's a name you just came up with for these forums .

It's definitely not solely based on Kaplan scores. Two of my friends applied last year and both got a 75 but only one got in. The one that got in had an A- avg and was only missing one class (which she was currently taking while she applied) and the other one had a B/C average and was missing 4 classes at the time. Did you guys apply to Cochran? I heard they're more lenient than Monte and accept more students. Not sure if that's 100% accurate so don't quote me but that's what I've been hearing.

I have all my prerequisites with a 3.2 gpa as well as a bachelors degree . A lot of people accepted have a high Kaplan score and missing a lot of prereqs. You can't apply to Cochran if you've taken sciences more than once .

Im gonna guess I'm older and no my name is not Sunny lol! Im in my early 30's.

Which shows Kaplan score is priority. If 2 ppl have the same score, then they start looking at pre-reqs, then GPA.
