Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2016 Applicants

Hello Guys! Figured I'd start a new thread on Montefiore SON for Spring 2016 since I haven't been able to find one. Anyone out there in the process of Applying to their nursing program? I called them yesterday and was told they will be sending out Exam invitations soon. Where are you in your process??

Hey @kazey001. I believe it is possible. A lovely coworker did just that. She attended a two year, evening nursing program and became an RN. She was amazing at time management. I'm sure we will do the same. are you starting this January?

I also work 9-5. I will eventually have to move my schedule on the days that I have school. Can't wait!

@Sunkissedrn2be I got my acceptance packet today.. the deadline to get our scrubs is actually pretty soon ! It also has the book list

That's up to the individual. I'm working full time and I know of others who have (not necessarily at Montefiore).

can't apply to Cochran since I did 2x already, and other programs require more pre reqs. For Monte I had everything I needed but I'm tired of trying.

UPDATE: Got my rejection letter from Montefiore this monday on 11/16 :sarcastic: .

Dont know what thats about since I work for Montefiore Hospital, I scored an 80% on KAT, 88% critical thinking and have a 3.85 GPA. But whatever!:cheeky:.

I had already accepted my offer to Cochran School of Nursing when i got the acceptance email 2 weeks ago and paid my $300 deposit so it really doesnt matter because I would have rejected their offer.

Cochran was my #1 choice because they give LPNs the option to test out of the first semester which means if i pass i will be finished in 18 months vs 24month

Im only writing this to give those who didnt get in to Montefiore as well a heads up dont feel bad. There are other schools out there. Dont let this be a discouragement but a encouragement.
