I just mailed in my application in today. The reason I waited so long is because i had tried to email the advisor regarding issues about grades and GPA but she never responded to me. I just recently got a job at a psychiatric hospital and already have my bachelors degree from hunter in psychology but Ive been hesitant about applying to nursing programs because of gpa and grades in prerequisite courses, but I'm really interested in psych nursing. Does anyone know their acceptance criteria i calculated my gpa for the prerequisites and its a 2.69 i know they have a 2.70 gpa requirement but i wonder if it will be a big deal ? I would be willing to re-take some of the prerequisite courses.
Hi I also applied for their program as well as cochran. I'm wait in for them to give me my test date. I have my kaplan test date for cochran already. My gPA is 3.5. I hope to do well on the entrance exam for montefiore. I also work for montefiore hope that gives my application a boost. Good luck to us all.
Maybe that's why? they do want all documents first before they sent any invitation. The Kaplan book is only helpful in my opinion for the reading but I also took information form the science part from the different system,to added to my notes other than that the book is. For the math section i been using this book call: Math for Nurses (excellent book) and Math to the Max, Reading the Kaplan, for English: English to the math (another great book) and for the most intimating section SCIENCE:eek:: My A&P notes and book with a DVD that came with it called interactive Physiology. But there are plenty of videos for each system online... How about you??
Math is my strongest subject too! I think everyone should do okay on that section, since there is a calculator option to use- which is great!... I heard the HESI is very similar to the Kaplan exam and Kahn Academy is a great website to study from! I have the TEAS book too. I was going to apply to Westchester Community College but they took out their evening program so I went to an open house at Montefiore and I felt in LOVE with their Program and everyone there is so willing to help which is a big plus.

Hello Guys! Figured I'd start a new thread on Montefiore SON for Spring 2016 since I haven't been able to find one. Anyone out there in the process of Applying to their nursing program? I called them yesterday and was told they will be sending out Exam invitations soon. Where are you in your process??
