Hi, I applied to Montefiore School of Nursing, in Mount Vernon New York for the January 2015 term! I was wondering if anyone else has applied yet!!! I submitted all required documents and application and am just waiting to see if I am invited to take the TEAS!!!

Hi Nurse_Afro! Make sure you study! Use the ATI book and do the ATI online practice exams and the ones in the book as many times as you can!!! They are exactly how the actual test will look! I found the online exams to be more difficult than the actual exam...especially the science. Read the ATI book front to back! As heidiesp1234 said...focus on the time!!! Take the practice exams as if they are the real deal!!! I ran out of time on the math and had to take educated guesses. If you know the math you can do really well on it!

i got an e-mail stating I was accepted and that an acceptance package is in the mail. Hopefully I'll see you in January. :)

Hi, badcooliebwoy! congrats on getting in, I am so excited to start! have you ordered your uniform, did your drug/background check, and OHC packet?

I was the one who sat in the front row and asked how many people applied on our test date! I went to the open house on Thursday!!! I am so happy I chose Montefiore, it seems like such a close knit school!

I haven't done any of the things you mentioned so far, I feel so lost, I haven't even gotten the the packet yet with all the information. I just got my acceptance Thursday evening, hopefully the packet will arrive today or Monday.

I recall someone asking that question, did you sit in the front on the left side of the room? I was the guy sitting by the door in a hoodie freezing to death!

Congrats on your entrance! lol If you don't mind me asking what was your score on the Teas? I have been reading other posts and so far the ppl who get in the school usually get accepted via email. Im a bit worried because I have not received an email. But either way its cool, Ill be a bit disappointed but I will be okay lol.

Badcooliebwoy- Yes, that was me! Wait where you the guy I was talking to about the exam before we went into the classroom? yea...that room was FREEZING!!! Have you gone to an open house?

Wait till you get your acceptance package...so much stuff!!! I felt lost too and it seems like so many steps but make sure you start right away because it took me so long to just get my health clearance done! We have to get so many titers done plus flu vaccine and vaccines to anything you aren't immune too! the drug test took 24 hours...I literally took my drug test at 11am on Thursday and had the results 7am the next day and the background check took like 1 week. I ordered my uniform 3 weeks ago and still have not received it! Oh and we have to get CPR certified! Do you live in Westchester? Do you know anyone else who got accepted or that goes to the school now? Do you have any other pre reqs you have to complete?
