I recently got accepted to Monroe College for the fall 2020 nursing program, I haven’t seen recent reviews about the school and I want to make sure I’m making the right decision. Has anyone attended the school, or graduated?
Im not looking to put all my eggs into one basket so I’m still applying for other schools as well.
Thank you :)
sorry didn't read the question all the way, if you pass it then yes you would be able to start again with another cohort but you will have to wait to they are in the same position as you.
for example, lets say you have just taken the lpn-NCLEX and passed it oon the 2nd try during this semester (Spring 2021) and you want to start the RN portion this fall 2021 lets say. but the cohort behind you is not taking their lpn-NCLEX until jan 2022, then you would have to wait until April 2022 (which is monroe's Spring semester) to start with that cohort because that is when they will be starting their RN portion.
Ohh wow, thank you so much. I just wanted to know the possibilities, because the school never make anything clear. Hopefully we all pass it on our first try??
Again thank you for you time☺️ Good luck to your bf.
@mulaniani you can email me with you phone number so that we can keep in touch. [email protected]

NCLEX is not all that difficult the way people made it seem like, all you need is UWorld and Saunders, just do questions and answers. I graduated from AMG LPN school June and took the NCLEX July 2020, I always advice people to get UWorld and start using it all through your nursing program, so before you finish your program you must have answered all the questions. Nursing schools exams are more difficult than NCLEX itself from my own experience.
Yes, lot of people recommend UWorld, will definitely go for it.
I understand that NCLEX won’t be that bad but it’s just a way me getting nervous LOL. Hopefully we will get to the goal like in no time with flying colors? Am starting my 3rd semester LPN in September, hopefully everything goes well??
Important thing is focus on getting out of nursing school and once you pass your exit exam is a predictor of you acing the NCLEX on your first try. Trust me NCLEX is very easy, UWorld+mark = spending less than 45 minutes on NCLEX.
Also don’t spend too much time to take your NCLEX once you finish your LPN.
Am starting ABSN this coming semester with Monroe.

OMG he used mark !! I’m very scared for the NCLEX but I need to relax and take things one step at a time I’m not even there yet LOL
If I may ask I remember when I had my interview with the admission office they mentioned after you pass the NCLEX exam there is another exam you have to take on the ATI Website but I forgot the name of the exam she mentioned in other to start the RN program. Can someone help me clarify it please

If you are a student not in Monroe and your an lpn (and you already took the pnnclex) but not an RN then you have to take the predictor exam which is on ATI in order to get into Monroe lpn- RN program.

so before if you failed it you couldnt come back, you would be dismissed from the program. but with covid they changed it (not sure if they will change the rules back.) if you fail now then you would have to wait until another cohort is ready to take it. for example, my bf's friend didn't pass it, so he had to wait 3 semesters to retake it with the next cohort, because the cohort after your class might not be taking their exam in the next semester so you have to wait until they do to join their class.
hope that makes sense because its hard to type out and explain it! you can pm me if you want as well!
