Monroe College Accelerated 2nd Degree Nursing Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey!

Has anyone been accepted to this Monroe college program? I know they used to have it and recently bought it back. Any thought?

Currently I’m taking 15 credits, right now I’m taking the major related courses like (intro to health care, health informatics, etc.) next semester when nursing courses start I’ll be taking 19 credits. Next semester will be remote and clinical in school

That’s good. You are already taking classes there? How are the professors over there? Not seen much rating about Monroe college online. I am taking my last class at City Tech. I have most of the prerequisites like English 1&2, biology, A and P 1 &2,sociology, psychology 1, child pshycology and Microbiology. Not sure if I have to take the classes you are taking now but I sure will find out soon. I was told  the accelerated nursing program is for 12 months, not sure how true that is. ThankGod it’s remote learning and clinicals in person. Do have special uniforms for clinicals and do we have to buy that from the school?

Yea I’m taking classes now. We aren’t taking any clinical. I was under the impression that it was a 1 year program too but we were told we can’t take nursing courses this semester because there weren’t enough people that had enough pre reqs (all the sciences) . I don’t think it’s truly one year. For the next 3 semester I’ll be taking 19 credits a semester, they said it can be completed in 4-6 semesters. But they have sent us a to do list of everything we have to get and do before start classes in Winter, get the school uniforms was one of them

I just got accepted into the accelerated BSN for Winter 2021. How’s everything going so far? I’m leaving City techs nursing program cause it is horrible, and I’m just hoping this program is better.

do you mind sending that to do list so I can get a head start??

Oh! So you started the nursing program at city tech already? ThankGod, I didn’t stress myself about trying the TEAS again. I read so many bad reviews about their nursing program.

Hi Guys,

I'm applying for Monroe's accelerated program and was wondering what is the average TEAS score that everyone had received?

Thanks!

58.7 is all you need to get in and a good GPA.
