Tweety glad the repairs for his condo are getting closer to completion

Stars glad it was a fairly calm day

Yesterday started busy.  Got to church early as I was assisting minister and we had a baptism.  After getting back home did the cooking for the week, also decided to wash the sheets.  Stopped at the grocery store to buy some things for the reception after the music event at church next Sun

Was going to check out a small arts festival and the library book sale, but stomach was acting up and was feeling tired, so rested at home.  Felt better by the evening and exercised

Today should be an ordinary day, both at work and after work. Will do laundry when I have some time

Will be a bit warmer today, low 70s, will rise into the mid 80s by the end of the week

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day and you feel better.

Got some work education done yesterday.  GI system is still acting up.  Best friend showed some concern about upcoming travel but surely I'll be better by then.  He also has a hairline fracture in his foot but his podiatrist said it would be better by the time we travel.  Guess this is life for two old friends that like to travel.

Routine day today.  I might go to work and get my RQI CPR done for this quarter.  It's due at the end of the month.  I did some of the preliminary online stuff.  It's just hard to find time to do during the work day or remember I need to it.   It takes about 15 minutes is all.

Bowling tonight resumes.

Have a good day.

I've been lolling in bed for 1 and 1/2 hours. The question is a debate.....do I remain happily slothful because it is SUPPOSED to be my day OFF (until 4:30-ish) and I need every minute of time NOT spent on Queen Nannie or her Royal Needs; or do I just bite the bullet, get up, get dressed, refer to the shopping list and the "to-do list" and "just do it"? Is there a NIKE-symbol-shaped birthmark somewhere on my body?

Stay tuned in case there is an "important event" that occurs. Unless it doesn't.

I too, have been slothful. My stupid foot aches from time to time, so I put off going up and down the stairs. Luckily, it does not interfere  with cycling, so ds and I went for a spin yesterday.

Saturday morning we volunteered at the farmers market, and talked to many people about their garden issues. So many were new to the area. On the way home I stopped at a salon for a shampoo and blowout. If I ever won a lottery I would have someone to wash and style my hair on a regular basis. And pedicures!

Later that evening I went to my high school reunion. There were about 30 former classmates. We noshed on charcuterie, sipped some beverages, and generally caught up. There was a buffet and cake. I was so exhausted, that I left a little early, and went to bed as soon as I got home. I was still tired from it Sunday.

Today, I need to help dh put up some bulletin boards at the demo gardens, and then we have a meeting at the library at 4. I need to remember to return a book. And I definitely need to get active!

j22, sounds to me like you are already "active"!

I stayed in bed until I heard the back door open and close, and then a few minutes later Tinker came upstairs with her harness on....which means that SiL is here, because she always walks Tinker in the AM's. BiL is here, too, finishing up the railings on the cement stairs in back. SiL vac'd and washed Nannie's bathroom floor. I was glad I had washed the dishes last night because it is kind of embarrassing to me to always have the kitchen sink heaped with dirty dishes. Nobody ever does the dishes FOR me, ever, and nobody ever says anything to me about them, but still....

I have checked my checking acct balance and don't much like how low it has gotten, but it's what I have to work with for now. I have to go to the store, and I plan on buying the smallest, cheapest things I REALLY NEED and leaving the rest of it for another time.

And I did set my phone's alarm clock to go off at 4 PM, so I won't forget to go get Nannie at daycare around 4:45PM. It doesn't help to get interested in something and lose track of the time. There should be an Old Folks Camp where she can stay for an entire week of days AND nights......for FREE! Ah well, I continue to be a big daydreamer about things involving me having to stay here ALL THE TIME.

Maybe since the last time I prayed for a miracle and I got Tinker two days later, I should take a lesson from that and pray for real relief from the constant Nannie-duties? Ah well, "Que sera sera, 'wadevah' will be will be, the future's not ours to see." *sigh*

Hello all!

Couldn't sleep last night, then finally fell asleep after 6.  Dh came into wake me around 1130: "are you going to get up today?"

Little Doggy has been off his food for about three days, has been subdued and done some diarrhea.  Stools lately have been more formed, and he ate some apple this morning (a morning ritual/treat).  We are discussing continuing to monitor VS making a vet appt.

Ants in the house today, we have sprayed their ingress area and other areas.

I made some "beef" stew yesterday, it turned out well!  Made it with veggie "beef," carrots, celery, turnips (instead of potatoes), mushrooms, onions, garlic.  Vegetable broth, rosemary, thyme, soy sauce, and a little worchestershire sauce.

Not much else going on.  Have a good afternoon/evening!

I'm back from my intended to be "cheap" (? )shopping trip. I still ended up spending way more than I expected to, but I DID get a lot of store-brand items, so pat me on the back anyway! And I think 'we' are good for another week, unless I find something I forgot to put on the list.

I did find my other car keys......they fell out of one of the sturdy bags (printed with EARTH FARE on them.) in the back of my car when I was loading the plastic bags into the bags with handles to make it easier to tote them all inside. The Earth Fare store here is closed down forever 😕 I don't know how far away the other Earth Fare is, but it is over the state line in S.C....maybe not by too far, if I'm lucky. And I must be lucky since my other set of car keys presented themselves to me without me having to SEARCH!

Not only that but SiL volunteered to go pick up Nannie at daycare. I hope SHE remembered! The little tootley-tootle alarm on my cell phone did its thing, but I turned it off. Well, I'm not going to worry about it, they may come driving into the backyard shortly....like, RIGHT NOW! Okay, got to sign off here.

Laydah!

I just posted this message and then lost it from the screen. I hope it doesn't reappear after I try to post it again!

So, anyway, the minute SiL started turning her vehicle around to drive out the driveway, Nannie said to me. "WAIT! STOP HER! I'm supposed to ....... she wanted me to get in that car because she's going to take me somewhere!"

This is a soap opera called: "As The Memory Slips"

Poor sad Nannie. 😞

Oh, dear, Stars, that's kind of sad.

Not much going on here. It's 80 degrees, sunny, 44% humidity and very pleasant. Will warm up quite a bit by midweek. Hubs continues to paint the boat. He was frustrated yesterday because the previous day's efforts had turned dull/flat so he redid them and now they're glossy. Not sure what the problem was. If he ever gets finished with the project 🙂 I have more suggestions... such as the dryer that beats out a loud, syncopated rhythm. I suspect a new belt is in order. He will want to do it himself, but he will not want to do it, if that makes sense. I washed a few loads yesterday and worried that all the noise would keep Twin B from sleeping (he said it didn't). Now for the age-old question of "what are we going to eat tonight?"
