Good morning!
Ado, hope you continue to find things interesting.
Joe, dull days are okay. Keeps things in balance.
I have an acquaintance in Asheville. She moved from Florida after a hurricane south of here destroyed her city in 2004 I believe. She has power but no water. Her home is intact from being at a higher elevation but her town is hurting. She took a respite to Savannah and relished in simple things like taking a shower.
I'm getting laundry done. Got most of my shopping done I think. May go get some fresh fruit. I bought these cooked noodle packets I tried the other day. They are Asian and good and I think will be okay cold. Got some canned goods and some snacks. They are turning the water off at the beach tomorrow where best friends lives and it if looks like we're going to get hit bad, best friend who is expected to have an evacuation order (he ignored the last once since he's on the third floor and Helene wasn't much of a wind storm for us) is going to come here.
Going to be 85 degrees and sunny. I guess I shouldn't complain, so I won't. The next few days it is supposed to drop down in the 70's which the silly weatherman said was "hay-ride, Fall weather". Nope, the 70's don't count as Fall weather to me!
Have to go get Nannie up. Slurping down some coffee, and will go start in on the wake-up routine shortly. SiL was supposed to have returned from her trip to Oak Island, but I haven't heard from her yet. It would be mahhh-velous if she would call and say she is taking Nannie tomorrow, but I'm not counting any chickens before they hatch.
The usual dishes await in the sink. I'm not sure about laundry, but there can't ... or shouldn't.... be so much of it.
Should also run out for some of the things I've been avoiding going out for, but whooooo knows if I will or not. Have to see about Momo's vet appt and I NEED to have my hair trimmed. One of these daze it will occur.
All for now. Y'all STAY SAFE! And DRY!
A pleasant 60 degrees and sunny here. I've taken the dogs on a nice walk, hoping to tire them out because I thought I was accompanying dh to his Dr. appointment, but he didn't think I needed to go. They get into less mischief and more napping after a good walk. dh is having a cyst removed from his leg, and I thought he might be restricted from driving, but he disagreed. Perhaps he doesn't want me to horrify people with my bruised, scraped up face.
I've got a black eye, and scrapes on my chin and nose, and my nose is a little swollen. And it itches like crazy! I took my glasses to the eye glass place in the mall Saturday , and they unbent one of the nose pieces that I had driven into my eyebrow. The technician advised me not the bend the glasses again. I should have just agreed, but I flippantly said, "thats the plan" and he rolled his eyes. I just need to hang on until next month when I have my eye exam and refraction. My prescription is expired so I can't get new glasses until then.
I've spent some time today cutting hardware cloth to use to keep the rabbits from chewing the base of my roses. My hand is now pretty sore, now. And I only got 3 pieces done. Oh, well, hopefully I can do more tomorrow. The vacuum is calling to me to have a dance.
I am watching the path of Milton and hoping for safety for those in his path.

Tweety here's hoping that the storm and surge miss you
Hi Crunch
Stars definitely good not to be in Asheville right now
Ado glad the meeting was interesting
Yesterday was pretty good. Did meal prep before church, went to church to serve as assisting minister, then came home and did the cooking. Was planning to make this a fast day, but the weather was nice and I wanted to be outside, so I had something to eat and went on a pretty long hike in the afternoon. Was oddly exhausted by the end of the day
Today back to work, hopefully fewer aggravations this week than last, but we'll see. Otherwise should be a dull day
Also going to be a cooler today, in the upper 60s
