Ado that's nice that your church does that

Stars I hope today is better for you

Was a quieter day yesterday.  Went to church a bit early, which was good as I had forgotten I was supposed to usher.  Came home and did some cleaning and some cooking and watched a movie. Got almost all the Christmas shopping done online, glad to get that done, for some reason I tend to find it anxiety producing

Today will start work a bit early, as I was off on Friday and have a worker off this week, although this week thankfully will only be 3 days long.  Not much going on today except exercise and laundry

Will be in the lower 50s again

Good morning!

Joe, glad you're having a short week, hope it isn't crazy to catch up and cover someone.

Stars, all will be well.  You're on your way.

I'm getting some window cranks repaired today.  Three of them aren't working.  The guy was supposed to come at 10:00 but is on the way early which is fine.  The cost is outrageously high but not in the mood to get different quotes and this is a guy I've used before that does good work.  I've found like car repairs home repairs are expensive these days.  Too bad I'm not hand and have to hire someone for every little thing.  2025 has been very expensive with home repairs and improvements.  But I'm thankful to have a job and the means.  Need to get this stuff done before I retire.

Otherwise should be a somewhat normal day.  I hope to go to the gym.  Bowling is tonight.

I'm losing weight again.  I'm eating plenty of protein and working out so no muscle loss but I don't want to lose any more body fat.  I'm lean enough.  I guess the new diet and cutting out pretty much all processed foods and not eating out is making a difference in calories.  It's not making a difference in the GI system but I need to give it more time.  I'll be off plan on Thanksgiving.  Wish me luck.  LOL

Have a good day.

To follow up the windows are done.  One handle needed to be replaced but two were an easy fix, so not as expensive as it could have been.  I appreciate his ethics in not doing what didn't' need to be done.

I did one computer based lesson for work while waiting.  Just when I was caught up they added four more.  But they aren't due until 12/20.  It's never ending.

I messaged my friend's sister on Facebook.  We used to be friends but during a cleansing when I dropped hundreds of friends I must have dropped her, so she might not accept messages from strangers.  She hasn't posted in a couple of years so doubtful that will lead to anywhere.

Yo. I am not 'stewing' this morning, so maybe today will be better. SiL came and got Nannie up and took her to daycare, and I didn't hear a thing while she was here. I had my alarm set for 9 AM so I could get up and start the day a little earlier, but I turned it off and woke up 1 + 1/2 hours later. Oh well!

Have a few errands to run, so I ought to get up and get dressed pretty soon. One of the things on my shopping list that I wrote yesterday evening  when I was in QUITE a MOOD: "More stupid yogurts"  Just a little bit of ATTITUDE, I'd say!

Have to pay some bills; that's always fun. BLEH.

I am now using my new (old) mediset which I filled for the week; makes it a little easier not to pick up the wrong mediset because this one has the 4x/day sections. I don't use the noon and suppertime sections, but having the AM's and PM's filled makes life a little easier since I don't have to open pill bottles every time it is time to take my meds, and them being in the same mediset helps me NOT pour out the wrong ones. (duh)

Hello all!

Joe, what a relief to attend church and then discover it's a good thing you did, for you had to usher! I hope your week isn't crazy, with one worker off and a short work week (don't cram five days of work into three!).

Tweety, I know what you mean about household repairs.  Dh and I are NOT handy, and honestly, the house really needs some repairs done -- so we need to find a good, dependable, reasonable fix-it person.  Yay for bowling night!  Are you and George going to get together for Thanksgiving?  Whatever you do, enjoy the day and the food! (don't lose too much weight)

No Stars, glad today is better, and yes, there is ALWAYS something to do/be done!  The medsets help me too.  I keep one in the bedroom for the pm medication and one in the kitchen for the am meds.  I am very visual-oriented, so out of sight = out of mind.  Gotta keep it right where I can see it so memory can be jogged.

I had a nice natter with my friend S (the one I walk with) yesterday in the afternoon.  I brought her some Molasses Cake to try, and she sent me home with pecan patties in mushroom-tomato sauce.  They were yummy, dh loved them!  She liked the Molasses Cake -- which I was relieved to hear!  She doesn't care for strong gingerbread, and this recipe was more molasses than gingerbread flavor (though it had a little ginger in it).

I slept well, and in a couple hours will get ready to meet with fiddler (K) and drive down to bass player's house for band practice.  No rain is forecast for the next couple weeks, and the temps will be in the high 80's.  Thanksgiving day we will pick up oldest ds and descend upon the local Vietnamese restaurant for some pho (and I will get an avocado smoothie for "dessert").

My right ear is still plugged up.  I have been only faithfully using two nasal sprays (alternating times) for about 24 hours, so hopefully it will clear up soon.  I'm sure this latest "thing" is related to the sneezing fit I had a couple nights ago (all night long).  Allergies.  Hmph.  It can stop any time!

Am enjoying my morning cup of oolong tea, since we will be leaving before lunch for the practice.  We will usually stop by Wendy's and get their chicken nuggets and a diet coke (and dh gets two of their chocolate chip cookies, for later).  That's lunch while we're on the road.  We will enjoy soup for dinner tonight, along with some of the molasses cake.

That's it for now.  Have a good, safe day and afternoon and evening!

Hi. Just got back from a dog walk. I got up late, which is unfortunate because I was planning on staging out house cleaning over the next three days. I finished the hall closet, and the garbage can and the donate bins are full. I was hoping for nice day to clean the oven so that I can open the doors and let that smell out, but it looks like today is the day. The dogs and I will don our hoodies, I guess.

I will thoroughly clean bathrooms today, and soak and scrub the oven racks in the tub. Perhaps the kitchen floor will get a good scrubbing too.

Here are some pics of the poinsettia greenhouses we toured on Saturday. They grow hundreds of thousands of plants wholesale, and they have a retail store onsite. A few plants followed us home, LOL.

Wow, beautiful plants!

I can see why you let a few plants follow you home. They're so pretty!

Here's to eating whatever we want on Thanksgiving (and, at least for me, for a few days after).

Just got home from the simple laser procedure to clear up my cloudy vision. Besides having one dilated eye everything looks and feels great.

Just learned that Hubs' exwife has stage 3 lung cancer.

We had thunder, lightning, and rain last night and today was gray and drizzly but the sun is making an appearance now. Maybe 65 degrees but when I left for my appointment the thermometer in the car said 60 and it sure felt chillier than that.

I need some simple meal ideas for this week. If I'm going to make a feast for Thursday we need to keep it simple otherwise.

I wanted to clean the oven before Thanksgiving. Maybe if I get a burst of energy after Twin B wakes up.

One of my favorite simple meal ideas is GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES! And you can add various stuff inside the sandwich (ham/tomato slices/sliced olives, or have side dishes like cole-slaw or a small salad.
