Good morning!
Joe, sorry to hear about your church member.
I took the shuttle home from the car service shop because it needs several things done. I'm getting a new set of tires as well. All routine maintenance but going to be a lot of money. Although the oil change is free.
It's "Florida cool" here too in the 60's this morning but it's 70 now. Last week it was in the mid-80's.
Nothing much to do but wait for the text that my car is ready.
It's early evening here, hello to all. Hope you are doing well.
I did a few errands today, on a very nice 68 degrees, clear-sky day. Snow is still visible on the mountains. It was so clear, Mt. San Jacinto was visible (out towards Palm Springs).
Compared to last week's driving and music activities, this week is quiet! I will probably go walking with S on Wednesday. I did the elliptical last night, and some free weights. I like to think that's why I slept better ? . Our friends E and J (both are accomplished guitarists and vocalists) are playing on Sunday at Oak Glen, at the apple ranch. We may go hear them for a bit, then take them out to dinner when they are done.
No Stars, any update? So sad that your dh started drinking again. *sigh* One day at a time.
Have a good evening
Our weatherman said that we went from Summer's mid-70's to Winter within about 48 hours, as we are in the low 40's now. "Tomorrow is about as bad as it can get, chill-wise," and 100% chance of rain. Whoopy! That calls for 2 layers, like a turtleneck jersey and another, heavier top, and if you go outside, better have on a good jacket or coat!
I have GOT to get some shoes that aren't the usual aerated-by-little-holes clogs that I wear. (no-brand) I hope I can find some Clark's clogs, or at least something that fits my arches, foot narrowness and length. Nearly impossible these days. I have groaned and moaned about shoe-shopping before, so I won't do that now.
It is many hours after I wrote the first two paragraphs-------------
I'm watching David Muir interviewing Pence, so I'm going to sign off for the time.
PS Hubby didn't drink today.
Hi. Decent day. Made 2 home visits, one to a nice lady who had an 18 year old pug, and 3 English bulldogs.
The other was to a 20 something who admits to smoking fentanyl and meth. He looked awful, couldn't hardly put two words together. I predict he won't be alive much longer. What a waste. I feel badly for his parents who are suffering.
No Stars, it's a relief to know there was no drinking today. I have a terrible memory, where DO you get shoes that fit?? They are important, especially in cold weather (tho I usually wear slippers in the house). Stay warm!
nursej22, so very sad to read about the young man who was smoking fentanyl and meth. I feel for his parents' suffering, and for him, for the mess he has gotten himself into. Again, so very sad.
We had a little snow. It didn't stick but looked pretty coming down. A crazy day at the hospital. Yes, by all means, your vomiting is a bigger emergency than that guy's chest pain. And of course this place isn't big enough to be "that busy". We just like making you wait.
Joe, I hope you church member does well. Some families do seem to have a disproportionate amount of illness.

Hi Ado

Tweety that is awfully early
Yesterday was good, got the crock pot recipe done while I was at church. Found out a church member is going in for brain surgery. Her family has had multiple health challenges in the last few years
After church was fairly quiet, went to the yarn store and exercised and did little else until the budget meeting, which ran nearly 2 hours. I brought up some ideas that did generate discussion, and we came up with some plans to cut expenses. But there will be more discussions I'm sure
Glad that I have this Friday off, only a 4 day weekend for me. Especially since we'll have someone off this whole week.
Going to get up to 40 today, will get colder still later in the week, with snow expected
