G'day!
Joe, hope that you have a good day back at work.
Dianah, sounds like a nice time.
J22, hope your heel continues to improve. I had plantar fasciitis for about three months once and was miserable. Sounds like you had a good weekend.
Yesterday, I watched TV for about five hours. I'm watching Severance on Apple TV and The Residence on Netflix. Both are quite good. I remember being in my 40's and 50's and I would never relax and watch TV without feeling guilt. Now that I'm older, as long as things get done, I'm good with it. I went to hot yoga and did a load of laundry.
I've noticed a trend lately that they are doing like they did in the old days and not putting series out to binge but one episode a week.
Anyway, should be a quiet day today. I slept in and will go to the gym, grocery store and cook.
Good-Morning-Too-Early! 😌 Have just seen Nannie off to the daycare center. She has tickles in her throat, but not a lot of 'junk' coming up; I hope they deem her safe enough to stay for the day. She has to be reminded to cover her mouth when she coughs or sneezes. And she always tries to talk while she is coughing,🤨 .
...BUT! She has no fever and I believe she is over being contagious. I did give her a half dose of her (night-time) cough medicine to ease it. I guess the nurse there will check her out. I sure hope I don't have to retrieve her early, because I kinda - sorta do have a few errands to run. *fingers crossed*
Better get dressed and get a few things done, so see ya laydah!
Didn't think about it being Cinco de Mayo or we might have done tacos. Instead, there's a chuck roast on the stove that I started in the crockpot last night then put in the refrigerator before going to bed. I tossed some carrots and celery in.
I rebounded with the whatever-it-was and stayed in bed Friday. Saturday Twin B and I went to a writer's conference in OKC (didn't stay all day since he needed to sleep for his night shift). Feeling a lot better though I still can't taste anything. I can tell if foods are salty -- but that's the only thing that gets through. I didn't go to church yesterday but Hubs did. He said there were more people there than usual, presumably because it was "senior Sunday" honoring the (3) graduates we have this year.
Twin A is working an evening event at the zoo so he will be home late.
We're home from Seattle. Doc said everything is AOK, come back in a year.90 minutes to get there, 4 hours to get home, because of stopping for lunch and shopping. Lots of things are blooming, like rhododendrons, azaleas, and dogwood trees. And the Cascade and Olympic mountains were glistening in the sunshine.
We had a nice lunch, but not Mexican, and stopped at 2 plant nurseries. The dogs were very happy to see us when we got home. There is still some sunlight, although a little breezy and cool.
I was going to make an appointment for PT, but they want a Dr. referral, and the Dr office just closed. I also tried to make an appointment to see a dermatologist, but they are already closed too. Hasta mañana .
Hello all! Good to read of your goings-on.
We had planned to spend the day walking at Disneyland, but cancelled last night, so we could sleep in and rest after a busy weekend. I did get out to do a couple errands and go to the grocery store, then drove to the dealer to pick up some sporty car mats we'd ordered. We'd been told they would arrive today, but when I checked with Service and Parts, the mats hadn't arrived, and may not till tomorrow or Wednesday. I will wait till they report the mats have arrived before I stop in again!
I paid a couple bills. It is cloudy today, but no rain.
Have a good evening!

Tweety glad the play was good
Dianah sounds like a good time
NJ22 does sound like a relaxing weekend
Before church did the cooking for the week. Spent a lot of time at church yesterday. Was assisting minister for the service. Came home briefly, then was at church a few hours again for the concert. The anticipated large crowds did not show up, we got a few dozen people like we normally do. Was a good concert. Helped with setup and cleanup. Rest of the day was quiet, just exercise
Today should be pretty ordinary too, just laundry and exercise and nothing unusual. This whole week should be pretty ordinary overall, nice after being so busy
Going to be warmer today, up to 60 I think, no rain expected
