Dianah hope you sleep better tonight

Stars hoping you get nothing more than rain there

NJ22 hope your foot pain fades

Tweety glad you are off

Yesterday was good but busy.  The cooking was more involved that I had thought, but still managed to get it done before church.  After church caught a train downtown to meet my friend B for lunch and a visit to the Chicago Cultural Center.  Was nice although the windy and snowy weather I could have done without.  Rest of the day was pretty quiet

Hoping work will be quiet today although one coworker is still out and there's some extra work that needs to be done.  Also need to do laundry and start packing since I leave on Friday

Going to be warmer today, in the mid 50s, should be warmer the rest of the week too.

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.

It's a chilly start to our day after a front brought in some "colder" weather.  It's 62 but this time of year it's typically much warmer.  But I think it's going to warm up tomorrow again.

Not much but the routine stuff on the agenda.  It's bathroom cleaning day.  w00t

Hello and Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Very sorry about the loss of Suzy the kitty, dianah.

I didn't do anything "useful" over the weekend and I'm feeling rather down on myself. Almost wonder if counseling would be a good idea but I quit going rather abruptly so I don't know if he would welcome me back.

Our nurse manager is off all week. Last night one of the ER nurses called in sick. The shift was covered by the OR manager (they don't have any cases this week due to Spring Break). I'm willing but without ED experience I'm not very useful there, either.

At the moment there's no internet, therefore no EHR. I can do email on my phone. The Pyxis had issues over the weekend, too. These power surges are hard on the equipment. Surely this new hospital has some sort of surge protection? I don't get straight answers when I ask. Not my job to worry about it, I guess.

Glad you have some time off, Tweety.

Hello all!

Ado, you can't help but wonder about surge protection, and thus ask about it.  Doesn't hurt to ask (maybe ask the workers in the trenches rather than TPTB?).  Seems, at the very least, less-than-optimal to have so many interruptions and equipment functioning issues!

You go, Tweety, get those bathrooms CLEAN!  (I did ours before the weekend)  But also do something to ENJOY on your well-earned days off!  🙂

Joe, how was the Cultural Center?

I slept pretty well after 3am.  We cancelled our planned outing for today, just wasn't up to it yet.  Maybe next week...  I will probably make dh's favorite soup today, as we only have one more meal of the casserole dish we have been eating from.  It should be nice today, no rain.

Have a good day!

Hi. I took MiL to her chiropractor appointment this morning. One of the office staff there was wearing a leprechaun onesie and a green glittery  hat. We don't usually celebrate. I guess dh has some Irish ancestry about 4 generations back.

That has been pretty much it for me. I tried to go outside and my foot said not a good idea. I sat down and fell asleep. Whoops. I am going to heat up some chicken tortilla soup from Costco for dinner.

Weather wise, it turned out to be pretty decent, sun with big puffy clouds, looks like thunderclouds building over the mountains.

eldest ds asked me if gabapentin goes bad. I said if stored incorrectly it might. How old was it? Uh, ten years. Dude, get a new prescription !

Hubs' family always boasted of their Irish heritage so it was funny when we did AncestryDNA and it said I had about twice the Irish heritage he did. Those numbers get revised all the time so now I think the difference is less dramatic.

I made corned beef hash. It was OK.

I hear Sam the cat retching frequently but he seems to just bring up small amounts of clear liquid (TMI?)

I looked at Ancestry DNA just to see the latest. Now it gives NO Irish heritage for me and about 15% for Hubs. Go figure.
