Stars that probably is the best approach

Tweety glad the issue she had seems to have been temporary

Dianah we managed to avoid most of the rain

Was a quieter day yesterday.  Went to church.  Did the cooking when I got home.  Then met my friend N at the Arboretum.  We walked around for a bit, got back to the car just in time to avoid the thunderstorms that hit.  We stayed at the visitors center until the rain abated then walked a bit more.  Rest of the day was quiet

Today should be an ordinary day, both at work and afterwards, just laundry planned

Going to be a cooler day, mid 70s, although rest of the week should be warmer

Good Morning.

It seems that most had a fair day yesterday.

It was hot, for us, in the mid 80s and humid. I went for a short jog. I am restarting the Couch to 5K routine, in order to build my endurance. Then we went to a garden and art festival. We had a nice lunch, bought a few plants and a glass birdbath.

We stopped at ds's home to drop off one of the plants and inspect an insect problem. We came home and just vegged out in the heat. Today should be cooler. dd mentioned getting a pedicure, but we didn't set a date and I need one. Because the PT is massaging my foot twice a week, I'm self-conscious about my feet. As a nurse, feet were always my weakness. Didn't want to see them, didn't want to touch them, shudder.

Good morning!
Got up with Waffles at 6AM and fed her and she seems more or less herself.  Not sure what went on, maybe a TIA?  Maybe the heat if she went outside?  She's back asleep.  We went back to sleep and I slept another three hours.

Our normal high is 90 and it's in the upper 80's, so below average but still warm and muggy.

I may go to a "No Kings" protest Saturday.  My friend made a sign.

88, feels like 96, humidity 63%, and some medium percentage of rain. I am awake but feel sleepy, with a medium percentage of the possibility of a nap! But I kinda hate to waste my time off by sleeping more. I have some "shoulds" on my itinerary; maybe I should start with a 2nd cup of coffee, and then get dressed. Then I should put on some peppy music and go at it in my room, putting clean clothes away, etc, etc. We'll see.

Hello all!

Joe, glad most of your Arboretum outing was without rain!

Tweety, good to hear Waffles is "herself."  I hope the gathering is peaceful (not like LA's).

nursej22, congrats on the Couch to 5K plan, w00t!

No Stars, it sounds like you WILL get some chores done today!

I slept well (was tired after practice), and today I will do a few chores, myself.

Not much else going on.  Have a good day and evening!

I haven't intended to be incommunicado. I could say I've been busy, but then WHAT exactly did I accomplish? Oh well. It was quite a week with the trial, the Jeep breaking down and needing to be retrieved (which took multiple trips and involved dodging tornados for Hubs and Twin A). Hubs has finally given up on the Jeep, though he wants to get it running again before selling it. Twin B purchased a 2005 Toyota (I think a Corolla). Twin B also worked an extra night last week.

One of the A/C units at the hospital didn't work after a power outage last Sunday, was finally fixed on Thursday, I think. So the M/S unit didn't have air conditioning. Fans to help with circulating the cooler air from the rest of the hospital kept it pretty comfortable.

Met my friend D for lunch Saturday at one of my favorite taco places. The jury deliberated for 5-5.5 hours before being done on Thursday about 5:30. I found it stressful -- the weight of deciding whether or not someone should go to prison. But it was an interesting experience.

Sorry about your brother's diagnosis, Stars.

I hope Waffles continues to do well.

And goodness, I hope there's no need for surgery for J22's collarbone. Hubs had a broken clavicle back in ... I dunno... 1999(?) that was "non-union" after weeks/months and he had surgery. The surgery was non-eventful but he still sometimes has pain in that shoulder
