Good morning Tweety and all who arrive later!
Sounds like SlowBro is basically stable. No complaints about that. Enjoy your time off.
I am pretty well unpacked, and most of the laundry is done. We didn't eat some food I had placed in the RV freezer, and I don't have room for it in the house freezer, so it's in the fridge, thawing, and we will eat it this week. I got some specialty coffee for oldest ds, need to take it to him this afternoon. YAY, I didn't get poison oak! Only a few mosquito bites. Slept pretty well last night. I had changed the sheets just before we left, so it was nice to shower, then sleep between clean sheets!
We are looking into booking a few days at our local mountain campground, just to say we were there this year. We do love it up there! Next festival trip will be in August. It is nice to come home and not have to gear my mind up to go to work, truly it is.
No Stars, I am late to the party but I wanted to add my two cents: GOOD you are paying yourself for your duties!
Hope you all have a good day!
Friday evening and Saturday evening were quite horrible; d/t the mix of vodka/Xanax, hubby was a zombie. Last night was not quite so bad. Nannie asked to go to bed early, and hubby went upstairs for a while. I decided that since there was nothing interesting on TV, I would also go upstairs and sit in my bed and read; that was 9 PM. Hubby went in to go to sleep a short while later.
But, then this AM when I asked him if he slept well, he said he really hadn't. So he dozed in his recliner a while, then went upstairs to nap, but came down and went out to get a snort from what he bought this morning, aaannnnd now he is back up in his bed because he says his belly is bothering him. I guess alcoholism trumps making an effort at feeling better. He also mentioned that he had to go to the eye doctor. Yup, I know he has to; now if he would do something about it, like call for an appointment. If he would take a little responsibility for himself, he wouldn't have to be suffering from all these problems.
I have chicken potpies in the oven. They ought to be ready in 20 min or so. I will have to wake up Nannie, as she is presently conked out.
Later....
Hi.
Yes, Tweety, sis has a hematoma on upper thigh. I think my concern was about compartment syndrome, because the swelling and pain increased so dramatically. Apparently, the OT came by today (I had a prior commitment), gave some verbal advice, but didn't write anything down. Grr. So, going by what sis remembered, she needs a hand-held shower, (already has a shower chair), something to prop her foot on in the shower, and help to shower. I told sis to call the home health nurse to set up a bathing aide. I don't think myself or the her elderly neighbor should be helping her bathe. An apparently, the OT had some do's and don'ts about activity and her brace that differ from the doc, nurse, and PT. Of course, sis has it all mixed up, so writing it down would be helpful.
I worked at the plant clinic this morning, but I find it tedious.
Tweety, that is cool that you were able to attend a Pride event.
Dianah, I bet it felt good to sleep in your usual bed. And not have to get up for work!
I had a chicken pot pie last night for my dinner. I think dh took out steak to thaw to grill tonight.

G'day!
Just in from Slowbro's eye check up. His pressure is higher in his bad eye but not to the point to make any changes. But he did add an anti-inflammatory, the same one that I use in h is dead eye, to help. So three eye drops and a lubricant. Ugh... I also had his nails trimmed while I was there and noticed that they didn't charge me for that.
Otherwise not going to do much else but take a nap and head to the gym.
Joe, hope all is well at the reunion.
