Hi Tweety

NJ22 understandable that you would need a break

Stars it would be nice if he kept track of stuff like that

Ado that does seem a bit unfair

Dianah glad you slept better

Went to church yesterday a bit early as I was assisting.  Not a bad crowd given that it's Summer and shortly before the 4th

Came home and did the cooking and some cleaning and exerised

Rained almost the entire day, with more than 1 flash flood warning.  Hoping  all the rain helps ease the drought

Today will exercise after work but nothing else really planned.  Glad that I have tomorrow off to bird watch and do a little more cooking.  Might ride my bike tomorrow too if it's not  too terribly hot

Will be a warmer day than yesterday, in the low 80s, no rain today or tomorrow

Good morning.

Joe, hope you have a good day.  Glad you have off tomorrow.

Ado, nope you can't disturb a sleeping pet on your lap.  Those are the rules.

We're not in a doubt but in an "abnormally dry" spell.  We're supposed to get rain later in the week.  This is normally our rainy season.

Nothing much going on today.  Need to meal plan as starting tomorrow I'm on for three 12-hour days in a row and need to eat healthy.  Going to watch a movie later.

Insomnia got me last night.  I also had an ache in my foot that sometimes bothers me.  Getting old.  Just as I might have fallen asleep after taking an ibuprofen at 2AM Slowbro was wrenching and nothing gets me up faster.  Ugh...he did it again about 30 minutes later.  I gave up an took 1/2 a klonopin and I think somewhere around 3:30ish fell asleep again.  Up at 6:00.  Slowbro ate his breakfast like nothing happened.

Have a great day!

good morning. another nice day here, predicted to get up to 80. I am meeting dd to shop for our camping trip to Oregon via the Washington State coast.  We leave tomorrow and will be going to camp at Fort Flagler, a couple of hours and a ferry ride away.

My cold or what ever I have is easing. I still have a little cough, but I will wear a mask when indoors around other people.

Annie, I think not disturbing the cat was the wisest course of action.

Joe, I am a little jealous of your rain. Apparently, some wild fires have started in our state, so we could use some rain. And the Canadian smoke is predicted to come this way tomorrow.

NoStars, I am glad that you are not supporting your dh's addiction. That can't be easy.

Sis's neighbor called last night because she is concerned that she will be out of town on the last day of our trip and no one will be coming in to fix three meals for sis. This will be on the 14th. I sincerely hope in 10 days she can walk into the kitchen and microwave her "Meals on Wheels". But I assured neighbor that  my eldest and his wife are only blocks away and will come by. Sis has been getting back and forth to the bathroom just fine. I will stop by today.

Hello all!

Joe, enjoy your bike riding and tomorrow's bird-watching!

Tweety, hope you get the rain you need.  Any ideas for meal planning?  I made a caprese salad yesterday -- a very simple one, using a large tomato, cubes of mozzarella cheese, balsalmic vinegar, lemon juice, S&P, olive oil, and fresh basil from my one plant (!).  It was good, and dh liked it too!

nursej22, good you are feeling better.  I look forward to hearing about your trip!

Agree, Ado, best to not disturb the cat!

Not much planned today, though I don't think it will be in triple digits (only 98 degrees, not 100!).  I'm sure I will find something to do...  Ah, yes, I need to make a set list for music this Saturday at one of the desert churches.   We will do 40 min of music after our friend C gives a short homily.

Have a good day!

Hello~

I got up at noontime (turned out my light at 2:30 AM.) Hubby said he "didn't sleep a wink last night" , and yes he did get to the ABC store for his poison this morning when they opened. Hope he got enough to see him through until Wednesday, but that's not MY problem anymore!

I have to go to the pharmacy in a little while to pick up refills for me and Nannie. Hubby's Alprazolam can't be refilled until 10 days from now. I figured out he scarfed down his 30 pills in 21 days. No "live and learn" when you're an addict; he does this all the time. Oh well, too bad.

Nannie has had her yogurt, and is now sleeping again, in her recliner. Hubby has gone back to bed, saying to wake him up around 3:30 PM. Braves start their game around 7:20 PM. Another exciting day. Whoop-dee-do!

Let me join the insomnia train. I suppose I slept some but not much. Finally recovered from my case of "feline paralysis" and started my laundry. Will finish up tonight.

A high of 94 today, some rain this evening, and hot and humid again tomorrow, per the experts. Oh, and the mosquito activity is "extreme". I'll be sure to take some repellent for sailing tomorrow, although it usually isn't a big problem in the middle of the lake.

My tomato plants are not looking healthy and it's probably tomato bugs. So I need to do something about that. So far, the tomatoes have been really good. And the succulent I bought for my office died! It had grown a new section and was looking really good. Then I suspect I dropped something on it while reorganizing shelves because the new growth was kind of smashed. When I came in today, it was dead, dead, dead.

Mr Crabby Appleton is po'd because he can't get his Xanax yet. ?  AND he is po'd because when I went to Wendy's to pick up some take-out, they forgot to put our chili in the bags. ? AND he is po'd because the Cleveland Indians name has been changed to the Cleveland GUARDIANS. ?

He only ate 1/3 of his supper (a Baconator and lrg fries) and threw the rest away. Now he is up in the kitchen eating peanut-butter crackers and some cashews.  SMH !!!  ?

Nannie fell asleep during the third inning of the ballgame. ?

It is MUGGY-MISERABLY HUMID; I thought we were supposed to have rain and/or thunderstorms. The sky has spit down a few drops of rain, but nothing that actually got anything wet.

Hope the rest of the evening remains as quiet as Nannie is right now. ?

Sorry to hear about your succulent's demise, Ado.  I suspect it found out I am a friend of yours and it expired just thinking along those lines!!  I do have a tendency to kill plants...  I don't mean to, it's just -- a gift??

No Stars, I just have to shake my head at Mr. Stars' reasonings and his inebriated focus on things.  Hang in there.  And stay cool.

I came upon a Wagon Train episode with guest star Art Linkletter, and also starring Billy Mumy (Lost in Space), and Nancy Davis (married later to Ronald Reagan, ex-POTUS).  Interesting!

Have a good evening!

Even though I have explained to him about the Cleveland Indian's teams name change, he says "I just don't get it; this is not a normal game." I said it is just a regularly scheduled game between Atlanta and Cleveland. He said he can't figure out how *I* figure that to be so. This is how I can figure it out: What was once the INDIANS is no longer the Indians....they are the Guardians. I'm not in charge, I didn't set it up this way, so all I can say is what I know

---> Ya see, hubby dear, I read it on-line under "Sports/MLB".  (He is getting as bad as Nannie.)

Gma is not quiet tonight. She wants to know why she has to live here with us you-know-whats. And Hubs is NOT her son. She lives in Kokomo, Indiana! Not here! She got right in my face and shouted the s word at me. I think Hubs might need to pay more attention to oral care. She also said that I would kill her. If I were going to do that, I would have done it long before now. So we are waiting for the seroquel and trazodone to kick in. Because one of us needs medication. ?

I'm a tree killer.  I chopped down the last two dead trees in my front yard.  They all have died.  Part of it I know is my refusal to use a sprinkler system as it's a waste of water and money.  But the trees dig deep into the water table and should have been okay.

Sorry Ado, sounds like a rough night.  Unhappy dementia patients are the worst.

I decided on lentil soup with pasta.  One pound of pasta and one pound of lentils makes a bunch of meals.

I'm having trouble setting up the new online bank.  I got an email that literally disappeared.  I searched every box.  I tried a couple of things on the website and it doesn't acknowledge my bank.  I let it go. I don't need another account anyway.  Two bank accounts are enough and after paying off my bathroom loan I'm broke anyway.

Overtime time shift Tuesday with insomnia.  Should be fun.

Nannie takes Seroquel 50 mg AM and PM, and Trazodone is part of her PM meds. Then when she goes to bed she gets Mirtazipine. By golly, she SLEEPS!
