Good morning!
Ado, so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope her sepsis is figured out. Is she anemic? That might warrant a scope.
The left hip I complained about a week or so ago was getting better but today it's really really uncomfortable with certain movements. Can't catch a break. Took some ibuprofen . I'll mention it to my PCP tomorrow as I have a scheduled appointment for medication review (the required three month visit since I'm on a benzo). Odd it just popped up without me doing anything. It happened after surgery so maybe it was positioning? But it should be getting better and not worse if that were the case. Ugh.
Anyway, my post op visit went well and he signed off. He said three weeks from post op I can go back to the gym.
Getting some routing air conditioning work done today. Tech was supposed to come between 12 and 2 but is coming 1.5 hours early. Fine with me. Lucky I didn't run too many errands though.
Noontime. Nannie is at daycare. I have to get dressed, do some dishes, but no laundry. I have nothing new or interesting to tell y'all. I'm not bailing out of this site, I just am tired of myself and 'the usual' grousing about that Nannie-person, thus I have nothing to say. Just lingering in this LIMBO OF LIFE, and hopeful for some good 2026 happenings.
Hi. It turned out to be a decent day. I sold my ski rack components on Facebook Marketplace. One piece yesterday, the rest today. Youngest son didn't think I should have people come to the house, so I met them at the grocery store parking lot. I got $40, and I kept the stuff out of the landfill.
It's been intermittently rainy, and the dogs seem bored, and have been peeing in the house. Grr.
dh made dinner last night, a baked dish with noodles, beef, and sour cream. It was pretty good. I plan to pick up pizza after our online meeting tonight.
Annie, I hope your sis recovers and is discharged soon.
Tweety, that pain in your hip sounds bothersome. I hope your pcp gets you some relief.
I would be so miserable without my morning cup of coffee. I usually drink 2 cups a day, but I've started sipping a diet Dr. Pepper in the afternoon.
I have a haircut and dental cleaning tomorrow. And I need to go by the bank and get a new credit card. I lost mine about 3 years ago and never replaced it. But the bank keeps putting fraud alerts on my debit card, and that was a real pain when buying gifts.
Hello all!
Not much going on here. No rain today here in the valley, but still lots of moisture-laden clouds are hovering over the mountains. After lunch I took myself on a quest for fabrics for sewing. Since JoAnn's closed, I wasn't sure where fabrics and sewing supplies would be available (without driving long distances). I found two sources. One, a small 'sewing center,' mostly geared towards quilters but they did have one wall of "apparel fabrics." I didn't see any patterns for sale. There WERE some awesome, futuristic-looking, fancy-dancy sewing machines out!! OH MY!! My little old simple Bernina pales in comparison. I didn't drool too much over them, I'm sure they cost a few dollars. Plus, I don't sew enough to justify any large purchase like that.
The second place I found fabric and supplies was Hobby Lobby. I actually wandered through the store for a bit, having never been in the store before. Interesting place to purchase craft supplies and some home deco. We have a Michael's nearby too, that has a lot of the same craft supplies. But Michael's has no fabrics.
That's it for me! Have a good evening!
Our Walmart has a few craft supplies, including smaller cuts of fabric. No big bolts anymore, though.
Was an OK day. I do worry about my sister. The EGD was bumped today because of emergencies so planned again for tomorrow. She tested positive for C. diff (she had it 2 years ago after her gall bladder surgery).
BP is much better and levophed d/c'd.
I stocked up on some groceries but probably not the kind of things the guys will need if I'm gone for a few days. But. They are grown men and know the way to the store.

Dianah I hope they get that road and the campground fully repaired
Tweety hope you can get back to your regular activities
Ado I hope your sister has been released from the ICU
Started the lentil soup recipe in the crock pot before church, then got to church a bit early to serve as assisting minister. Smaller crowd than usual. After church returned home to finish with the soup and do some cleaning and exercise and laundry Found out that lentil soup gets rather mushy when done in the crock pot, so next time will make it the usual way
Thankfully today everyone should be back from vacation, so hopefully this won't proved too busy or stressful a day. Will be my first day off caffeine, so we'll see how this works. I don't normally drink much so I don't expect any withdrawal. Otherwise should be a quiet day, only exercise planned after work
Going to be a bit warmer today, up to the low 40s
