Tweety sometimes those relaxing vacation days are the best

Hi Dianah

Stars that's great that you found his birth certificate

Ado it sounds like a good idea that he's moving on

Yesterday started the chicken thighs marinating before church and did the cooking afterwards.  My friend D did great at her sermon, did not seem nervous at all and it was well received.  We stayed a bit for coffee hour

Rest of the day was fairly quiet.  Exercised and finished watching The Marriage of Figaro which I liked. Also watched The Crown, almost done with that

Today hopefully won't be too bad at work.  A short week for me as I have Friday off, which I could really use

Will get up to the low 30s today, but will have some snow and freezing rain/drizzle, hoping conditions don't get too bad

Good morning!

Took a clozapam last night to relax so I could sleep.  Was a bit anxious most of the day for some reason.  Part of the reason I know is my upcoming trip which always makes me anxious.  Especially that it's going to be such a long grueling trip and I hate to fly.  Also my right shoulder, the one I had surgery on six or so years ago started to hurt.  I'm just going to have to deal with it and let life go on.  People deal with much more.

I was able to go the to gym and maybe shouldn't have worked my shoulder but it doesn't hurt any more than when I started.

Today will do my packing and take the dogs to the sitter.  I want to 99% packed by this afternoon.

We are entering a cold spell, yay. Fortunately, we don't get much wind here in the interior or those temperatures would be unbearable.  The air quality alerts are common when it's deeply cold because the temperature keeps the particulate matter in the air close to the ground.  It's warmer and the air is cleaner above the river valley that Fairbanks occupies.  I live north of the 'Banks on the other side of a small mountain ridge.  The woodstoves smoke and vehicle exhaust can gather in this small community if the cold persists.

We had a nearby 5.3 earthquake the other day.  I rode my magic sofa while watching the birch trees dance outside the window. The crack in drywall of the water tank room got bigger.

Tweety I am anxious before travel too. There are so many variables outside our control. I pack ridiculously early.  One time I packed early and then had to unpack my underwear because, well, it was too early.  Of course I arrived at my destination with only the boxers I was wearing and my emergency carry on briefs.  Yep, underwear were marked off the checklist.

Safe travels.

Hey, y'all~

Today our high will be 50 degrees, and by Friday it is supposed to be 70 degrees! Nothing like Alaska, tmb! And glad for it! Plus, our landmass stayed absolutely still, which is nice. ?

There's things I'd LIKE to do today, but don't have a Nannie sitter, so I won't be motoring or meandering around town. I could make some phone calls, I guess. I need to, anyway. It's hard to get motivated right after I get up. Having coffee to see if I can wake up more and feel energetic.

SiL called to ask for Nannie's SS# and Medicare card #, as they are going to try to get her switched to Medicare Advantage. I thought BiL had all that, but I will look in the box of Nannie's papers that are up in dining room. You know, it is funny, but when SiL calls me on the phone, Momo hears her very distinctive voice, every single time she comes over to me and puts her front paws up on my shoulder as if she is begging "Don't go anywhere, Mom. Or at least take me with you." She associates SiL with me going out. After I hung up, Momo went back to her spot on the sofa and curled up.

Have to turn the electric fireplace on to take the edge off the room temp, and then get Nannie up. SiL has promised me that in February she will be able to begin giving me a planned day off every week. (*fingers crossed*) I tell myself that February is not so far away... and it isn't. I will be glad for a 'new schedule'!

Okay, I am still feeling sleep-stunned, but I gotta move around a bit to get my blood flowing more freely in the old noggin!

Hi. We are predicted a high of 50 and rain showers. I did a short jog this morning, my first in a week that felt pretty good. I still had to dodge a bit of ice, and lots of puddles, but the snow is receding. I made meatloaf last night that was tasty. I'll probably do some sort of pasta tonight. The dogs got loose briefly yesterday, made a beeline for the busy street we live on. Youngest ds called them back(they ignored me). We lost another dog that way and I sort of freaked out.
We get weather inversions here, too. They were really bad in Idaho, where many people burn wood in the Winter. The air smells and tastes like smoke.
I'm pretty laid back with packing, and I forget stuff all the time. But underwear and socks are priority. And I carry my meds.
Stars, make sure SSA accepts dh's birth certificate before you get your check refunded, just in case. Medicare Advantage might be useful, as long as doc is in the network.

Pretty much did nothing today. I did make my bed, and put my wall-clock up in my room. That's about it!

Nothing wrong with taking a break from your (lately) very busy goings-on!
