Stars glad that you will have a break from her today

Dianah hope the cat is OK, although older cats do get like that sometimes for no reason

Tweety that is sad about your neighbor

Yesterday turned out to be fairly busy.  In the morning did meal prep and laundry.  Later drove to the coffee meetup with the over 50 group.  Afterwards ran some errands and did some long-delayed cleaning of the kitchen junk drawer.  Found several pound of batteries that need to be recycled.  Exercised then took it easy the rest of the day

Today not much planned after work.  Have been planning to get on one of the dating sites prior to Valentine's Day, so will likely get started on that after work.  Otherwise should be a pretty ordinary day

Will be in the mid 30s today with no snow, although will be colder later in the week with snow expected

Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day.

Feeling a bit washed up after a poor night of sleep, hopefully coffee will kick in.
The workers are coming to finish up my garage ceiling today,  After that will go to the gym.  Bowling is tonight.  Pretty routine stuff.

Have a great day.

The 'usual' night last night.....Momo was on Nannie-Duty and barked me awake several times, and when I didn't go downstairs, she walked on me and barked more. Okay, okay, already! I got up and put Nannie back to bed. Told her again to NOT make her bed in the morning. Well, since I was the one who got her out of bed, I obeyed my rule and left the bed linens open and airing out. I also had to finish the laundry I started yesterday evening, but had to stop midway through drying because I didn't want the dryer buzzer to go off if Nannie actually fell asleep.

I think someone sneaks in here and makes dirty laundry on purpose; it's like I'm always saying, "Who put fingerprints all over my glasses?" GHOSTS!!

I am stunned because I had to get up at 7:30 AM (by alarm clock; and when I didn't get up, Momo decided I needed some 'help' and would not let me doze off. She is getting mighty bossy!) Anyway, got Nannie dressed and fed, and she was ready by the time BiL came to drive her to daycare.

I did the dishes (more ghostly pranks, making dirty dishes, cups, glasses and silverware!) and now I am trying to get up the gumpties to run out for a few errands. May go to the bank and get ca$h to go get my nails done, Blah! Everything needs maintenance and I reckon I've been elected to do everything!

Before I start grumbling again, I am going to just get ready and GO!

Morning, all. It's cold and windy, and I am ready for the snow to go away. 23, feels like 9. Saturday we went on a birding seminar to an area south of here, led by an expert birder. I was amazed at how quickly he could identify birds zooming across the sky at a distance. We stopped at several types of habitats: slough, estuary, tide flats, deeper salt water, and an open field. In addition to seeing geese, swans, mallards, herons,  eagles, we saw harriers, kestrels, snipe, kinglets, and short-eared owls.

I walked home after breakfast and it was slick and ice. I had to walk in the street, because few people shovel their walks. To avoid traffic, I took the side streets, and it took me nearly an hour (twice the usual) to get home. dh had the Super Bowl on in the afternoon, I saw some of the commercials. That AI stuff is weird.

I have a facial appointment today, for some self care. My fingernails are nearly non-existent , so no point in getting a manicure.

Hello!

nursej22, how fun, to see all those birds!  And in Winter!  But it is COLD there!  Stay warm!

No Stars, I hope you had a good Nannie-free day.

Joe, it's cold where you are, too!  That's a good accomplishment, to clean out the kitchen drawer!

Tweety, I hope bowling goes well for you.

I slept three hours then woke up and was awake till 8am or so, then fell back asleep for two hours.  Took a nap around noon.  We had a late-ish lunch, and then I drove over to the t-Mobile store to have them fiddle with my account.  It's all good.

When I got home I made a low-carb banana bread, it's in the oven now while dh feeds the felines.  Not much else planned for today.

Have a good evening!

Tweety, that is indeed sad about your neighbor. Hope you've had a good night bowling.

dianah, that low-carb pizza sounds good. It's worth a try on my guys. Tonight I made an eMeals recipe for chicken with apples and leeks. The side dish was orzo with goat cheese. The orzo should have had lemon zest and lemon juice but apparently Hubs threw away my lemon at some point. The main dish had fresh time and that gave the apples an interesting flavor. We all liked it. I also roasted some carrots and mixed up a bagged salad.

J22, the bird seminar sounds fascinating.

Tomorrow I fly to Ft Myers if all goes right. We are having cold and wet weather but the ice should hold off until tomorrow night. I am waiting for the dryer to finish so I can pack 1 more item. Gma just got out of bed, came in to the living room, and took my bottle of water from the coffee table. Guess she was thirsty.

Good night, all.

Safe travels, Ado!

Oh, and I added some Italian seasoning and garlic salt to the pizza.  🙂
