Hello everyone, I just wanted to start a thread for anyone who applied for spring 2019 second degree accelerated nursing program at Molloy College. I did my application online on July 7th. My cumulative GPA for my bachelor is a 3.6..I've been reading past threads in regards to the program. I hope to receive a letter to take the maths and English test. Has anyone applied? If yes how's your process going?
Hi there! I applied for the dual degree program for Spring 2019 and received my letter to schedule both the Nelson Denny Exam and the Math Screening Exam today. I received a letter stating that they had received all of my other documents about a week and a half ago. I completed my application around the end of July and was told that they do not start looking at applications until September/October so don't panic yet!

That's great to hear. If you don't mind me asking when do you plan on taking the exams and what is your GPA ?
I scheduled the exams for the middle of this upcoming week! My cumulative GPA is somewhere around a 3.3-3.4 (so hard to calculate when you attended two different schools). Are you applying to any other schools? Are they all accelerated programs? Best of luck regardless!
This may sound crazy but I only applied to Molloy. So my eggs are in one basket. Good luck on ur exams. Don't forget to share your experience with us when it's over.
It's definitely not crazy. I did the same thing with NYU the last 2 semesters but I didn't get accepted.
Molloy did give me a study guide for the math portion, it looks super similar to the one they have on their website. They didn't give me a study guide for the Nelson Denny but they linked a website with similar questions and an online review book you can buy (I personally don't think I'm going to).
Hello I also applied in a Molloy for spring 2019. I completed my associates degree and my overall G.P.A is 3.27? I saw you G.P.A is more than mine you didn't make it for the dual. Is it Hard to me to get in into regular bachelor degree? I have good gpa in subjects that count towards nursing. Plz reply me

I don't know exactly what's the GPA requirements for the regular BSN program. However, I do believe that you have a chance of getting accepted due to ur current GPA. You wouldn't get into the second degree/dual program because (1) you need to have a bachelor degree already ( in any major) and your GPA has to be 3.3 and above. Once you applied to the regular BSN program you should be fine. Fingers cross that everything works out and you get accepted. Good luck!!

@futurenurse0313 I think we are in the same batch of letters, because I received the same exact thing the same day. It's frustrating.
