Molloy College spring 2019 nursing program

Hello everyone, I just wanted to start a thread for anyone who applied for spring 2019 second degree accelerated nursing program at Molloy College. I did my application online on July 7th. My cumulative GPA for my bachelor is a 3.6..I've been reading past threads in regards to the program. I hope to receive a letter to take the maths and English test. Has anyone applied? If yes how's your process going?

Try calling the school as well! Did you take the Nelson Denny yet or the math exam?

I took and passed both exams in March. I applied for the fall semester but was deferred to spring since spots filled up so quickly. The lady said late October, early November is when the first round of acceptance letters go out.

No I didn't hear anything yet. They said, "The department is still reviewing the application so just wait. You should hear something soon".

They never sent me the Nelson Denny or math screening dates in the mail, you have to go into their website and register for the exams there. They failed to let a lot of people know that when I went and met others that also applied.

Yea i was told not to take any tests until you get accepted because it could affect your acceptance but it was a free test and I figured if I passed was one less thing to get done. Find out if they are still sending out applications and if they are schedule the exams as soon as possible. If you do well it will give you an extra edge. I met with financial aid and that sucked. They pretty mich said because its a second degree you wont grt a lot of tuition help or scholarships. So the school yearly will cost $31G and change.

Is it not gonna affect my admission in the program if I register for the exam before? This is so weird that I applied in March and never get anything in mail yet?

Hello,

I applied in June. I email admissions last week they said that they are still reviewing applications and I should here in a few weeks. I was also told not to take the math or Nelson till I get my acceptance letter. I am on the edge of my chair every day waiting for the mail. I have 3.68 and 8 year medical experience, I keep telling my self I got this, I'm so nervous.

I only had a 3.48 with no medical experience so I'd say your odds are pretty good! I have a BA and a MS in transportation. Give it more time and I'm sure you'll be fine. Try to take the tests anyways though to get them out of the way. It gives you an edge on other applicants.
