Molloy Accelerated BS/MS Fall 2020

Hey guys!

I wanted to start a thread for anyone else applying to Molloy’s accelerated dual degree program for Fall 2020.

I also wanted to share that I spoke to an admissions representative and learned that they are now requiring the ATI TEAS for admission. The Nelson Denny and math screening are no longer being given.

So that course (CHM 111) is probably most comparable to a basic general Chemistry, but the CHE 112 is likely more of a fundamentals of organic/biochemistry for nursing. I know someone taking CHE 112 and it seems pretty easy. You should look into whether or not you can take it at Molloy over this Summer!

Molloy is offering it over the Summer and it'll be fully online which is cool!

They sent me the classes I would need to take to finish my degree and it is 17 nursing classes and 1 English class due to not scoring high enough in the TEAS test English portion. I got accepted as well under the same conditions. When are you taking your ENG class? I have the option of the Summer prior to starting or Spring semester. It’s just that if I take it in the Summer it willl be out of pocket and for the Spring semester it will be included in the tuition. The only plus is that I would be able to start some of the Grad courses my second semester if I take Eng this Summer.

I opted for the Spring semester due to the cost of the class. It would be $3000 for a 3.5 week online class which I just couldn’t wrap my head around spending out of pocket for.

LOL.Welcome to Molloy!! I’m in the same battle. Hopefully I make a decision soon.

Yeah I dropped $4000 on CHE 1120 so I could start all of the nursing courses this fall. Still missing nutrition but I’ll probably take that in the Spring if they’ll allow it. I was told by admissions we should be receiving emails soon to schedule advising appointments!

Yes I scheduled my fall semester already. They email you and you get to set up a zoom meeting with your advisor.

Hey - is anyone interested in a Fall 2020 facebook group? I just want to keep up to date with everyone on their progress towards starting the program. I'm having some communication issues with various offices and figured if would be good to stay in touch! ?
