Hey guys!
I wanted to start a thread for anyone else applying to Molloy’s accelerated dual degree program for Fall 2020.
I also wanted to share that I spoke to an admissions representative and learned that they are now requiring the ATI TEAS for admission. The Nelson Denny and math screening are no longer being given.
Please reach out if you’re applying too!

Do you know what TEAS score is required for acceptance and the pre-reqs? I couldn’t find the info on their website.

They told me that they are only really looking at the Math and Reading sections. The minimum scores are a 78 for the math and an 80 for the reading. I don’t think there are specific pre-req courses as long as you have taken some biology and chemistry courses. They said that you can finish some of the pre-reqs while you are there if you are accepted and didn’t finish all of them beforehand
thank you!

Hello! I also applied to their accelerated program at the beginning of January after getting denied from Stony Brook.
Should we be registering for the TEAS test before hearing anything from admissions? I only applied to molloy and stony brook so I’m not familiar with the test.
Also did they have any information about when admission decisions would be sent out? Thank you so much and good luck with this process!!

Hi! I don’t know for sure if the test needs to be done beforehand, but I would definitely do it before decisions have gone out. I know other schools require it as part of the application, so I think it would be helpful to have it done.
The admissions rep told me over the phone that it should be about 8 weeks. I believe last year they found out starting in mid March.
Good luck to you too!!
Hi I also am applying for the fall.. I took the Teas back in December for another school, do you think I can still use the scores from that test date?

Definitely!

Hey, just found this thread. This is for the Molloy Dual/Second degree program right? Just got my acceptance letter today and wanted to see everyone else’s thoughts on Molloy. I sort of blindly applied since we found out last minute that we’d be moving to LI (husband is military so we move last minute).
Did anyone else also apply to SBU? I’m waiting to hear back from them still and likely won’t until after the deposit for Molloy is due!

I applied to SBU’s accelerated program, interviewed, but was ultimately rejected. I went to Molloy for my medical assistant certification training and I absolutely loved it. It’s very expensive but it’s an amazing school. Everyone I know that’s went there loved it!
I received my acceptance letter in early February. I also got into Suffolk, but will attend Molloy because SCCC is an ADN.
Congratulations on your acceptance!

Oh thanks for the feedback! Yeah I just took my TEAS last week so I’m glad they had a quick turnaround on an acceptance! I’m likely going to send the deposit and then cross my fingers about SBU. I applied to their basic bacc program since I was one prerequisite short for their accelerated program!
I figured Molloy was a little pricey which is why it wasn’t exactly my first choice! I’m using the GI bill which should cover a good portion of it but I have to find out how to cover the rest!
