So I got my HOAE results in...
Academic aptitude 51/75
Natural sciences 39/60
Reading comprehension 26/35
Spelling 36/45
Vocational adjustment index 78/90
With a required credit average of 84%. I calculated my average for the HOAE and I got a 75% - and you know what, it's much better than I thought I would get
I also applied to niagara and fanshawe. Speaking to others in the RPN program, what were your marks that got you accepted? I'm still very worried about getting in, I have my heart set on Mohawk and applied for September and January. Very stressed out right now. Also, for people that started in September when did you receive your acceptance?
Thanks guys xx
Just to get into nursing -_-
"Just to get into nursing".... Nursing school is hard, it is busy, exhausting for many and a lot of people just do not make it through!
It is a difficult profession in which you are responsible for the care of very unwell people. A high level of critical thinking is required at all times and a good nurse can easily mean the difference between life and death. Do you want someone taking care of you or your loved ones who graduated from a program with low standards where they let everyone in? I certainly don't.
Your post is a little offensive
My avg. while applying to Conestoga's practical nursing program was a 95% with a 73% on my HOAE. I finally got accepted as I applied for years (finally took pre-preqs @ academic upgrading - amazing program btw)
You had a 95% average in highschool and u still did not get in? I find that surprising.

I thought Brock would be more accommodating too but the admissions advisor emailed me to tell me I wasnt able to get in! Go figure. With my U level courses I have an 86% average, with my C level courses I have the 89% average. So I guess the 86% isnt good enough for a lot of the unis. These poor students trying to get in!
I am not eligible for the Mo-Mac/ Conestoga-Mac because I have a degree already, and also I didnt apply to the Mac main site because I assumed the cut offs would be too high. I applied to the joint BScN programs at GB/Rye and GB/Cenn again because I fear the Rye averages are too high!
It's just so competitive! I cant believe it
Sevillje, are you a Mohawk student currently?
