Hello,
I am just wondering if anyone has received admission into Mohawk College's RPN nursing program, for the January 2018 start? If so, when did you hear back from the school, and what were your grades and HOAE test scores?
Thank you,
Amy
Oh wow! That is really unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully all works out for your high school college level courses to get into an RPN program. I feel as if colleges and universities are continuously increasing their admission standards to filter through and see who really really wants to go the extra mile to get in.
Good luck with everything!
I'm still playing the waiting game after applying for the PSW-RPN Bridge program at Mohawk as well as the RPN program. I did get accepted to the alternative delivery program for RPN at Niagara, but am hoping to get into the bridging program at Mohawk. I am a recent graduate of the Personal Support Worker program, in which I decided to continue into nursing after completing my first semester of the PSW program.
Yeah I am also playing the waiting game, and I believe the majority of us are in the same boat! Good for you on your acceptance, must have been a nice feeling forsure. Hopefully Mohawk releases some offers shortly, as most of us have some logistical aspects to finalize before January comes! That is awesome that you have decided to continue after your PSW program. Just out of curiosity, do you know the admission average needed for the Mohawk PSW to RPN program? I am referring to that as a potential option if by chance I need to. Thanks :)

Ironically, Mohawk told me that none of my university math/science courses or OAC (grade 13, when it existed) would override my relatively poor grade 11/12 math and English marks from twenty years ago (so I'm now retaking high school college level courses to try to get in...hahaha)! Odd how they would say one thing is too long ago to be applicable and yet something else even older still counts. 😒
