Mohawk college Bridging to BScN

Published

Not sure if this will work for everyone I found out I have a "final offer" with "eligibility met" to find this I logged into mocomotion> applicant resources> check my application status > fill in your OCAS details > select program choices > the one starting 15.... and you might see your application status.

Good luck to those waiting, I know mohawk is slow compared to other college/universities.

Hey!! I got my offer too!! If I decide to go I would only do it part time tho. I wonder how many times a week that translates too....

Mac doesn't offer a part-time program.

Yes it does. It clearly states you are allowed 6 years to complete the program. My brother did it part time too there :)

Im actually a student in the McMaster bridging program, and inquired about taking it part time myself, it's not an option. Feel free to call the registrars office though to confirm, perhaps they are changing things. Part-time is a nice option.

The 6 years means that your credits are still acceptable for 6 years should you need to discontinue your studies for any reason (ie personal or financial) and pick up at a later date. This is something I looked into a lot before bridging full-time :)

Good luck either way, it's a great program!

You know what my brother did it part time and graduated a year ago. Unless he lied to me about his workload. If they won't let me do it PT then I guess someone from

waitlist will be very happy. Im having a my first baby in July. Ft is just not an option.

I wonder if NCLEX pass rates are higher for full-time students than they are for part-time students. The BScN courses are interconnected and intended to be studied together so that the learner synthesizes the information as a whole.

That's exactly the reason I was given last year as to why they don't offer a part-time program :)

would u be able to tell me what is the course load on full time basis?? on average? did u find it super hard to manage?

wasnt nclex introduced this year? we won't know until first part timers have a chance to write it. its all speculation. just cuz you are PT doesnt mean u dont retain ur knowledge well.

I was speculating but the educators who told xokw the same thing were not, they would have based their reason on statistics from previous CRNE pass rates.

I was actually referring to what she said about the fact that the courses are all interconnected and meant to be taken together.

And the course work was busy but doable. I had to work much harder and to get lower marks than I got in the PN program (went from 90s to 80s), but that is to expected going from college to university. I was only actually in school about 13 hours/week though, which was nice. Made up for the extra work outside of class.
