Hi, everyone
I was noticed that teas test is required prior to processing the application. Does anyone know if Teas test must be taken after the ADN application's deadline???? if not, then when???
How do they chose their applicants?? How many would be chosen?
Is it necessary to see counselor prior to applying the program?
Thank you

Hi,
When you go to turn in your application, they will give you a list of dates that the teas test is offered. I believe it was around 4 different test dates so you can choose one of those. Their program is lottery based which means they will pick around 60-65 students through computerized lottery drawing. This is good and bad. My friend got in on her first try and then there is me who will be applying for the 5th time. You dont have to see a counsler but it would be a good idea especially if you have taken other prereqs at a different college and to make sure you have everything in order. Good luck:D
the teas will only be offered for selected students. The acceptance status will be notified by mail by July 23. So, the teas will be offered after july 23, right?
I just talked to allied health at MJC and they are doing different then they used to. They are now only offering the Teas test to those who have been accepted into the program. So yes it will be after the July 23 date. I took the test when I first applied over 2 years ago and in my above post is how they did it then. If you do not pass the teas test then you cannot start the program. But don't stress, its not that bad. Good luck and let me know if you get in:)

Hi Mammato3, you've been applying 5 times? Wow, that's dedication! Did you find out if you get in to the fall yet? I really hope that your preserverance pays off!
RNBound83,
No, I wont know until July 23rd if I am accepted to fall 2010 or spring 2011. They are drawing for both semesters at the same time. Thanks:) I hope it pays off too because I am getting really frustrated with the whole thing.
Hi Mammato3, I'd be frustrated too. July 23 is really late to let you know. I think we're supposed to hear mid June. Not sure where you're located, but can you apply anywhere else? I'm halfway btwn Sacramento and Stockton, so assuming I don't get accepted to ARC or SCC I'll be applying to Delta also. I couldn't do it this time since they require you to take the TEAS test first and I haven't done that.
No, I can't really apply anywhere else because I have 3 kids that I need to take to school in the mornings and my husband commutes so he leaves really early. It would be too hard to find someone to take them to school for me since my family lives out of state, so I dont have much help. So for now, I am stuck waiting:anbd:
