I've heard the Columbia program gets far less applicants! But your points aren't super low, only a few from the cutoff of last year. The main cutoff was 65, but after quite a few people got cut for various reasons they took people from the 62 point range.
Plus, being up in the foothills it's a shorter drive to Merced or Delta for people like me.
I guess we'll see what this years point range is fairly soon.
Good luck to you!!!!
68 points is great!!! But the hard part about this year is we have no idea where the points will fall. They could be higher or lower. Some say all the high points people got in last year because they'd been waiting in the lottery. Others say people have had all this time to improve their points, so it's going to be much higher this year. But I think a lot of people don't want to discuss their true scores as if it will impact their chances of getting in or something.
It's really hard to say, so if I were you I'd go for a better TEAS if you can. You get to use the highest of 3 scores, so go for it. That's what I'm doing, my first score was 76 (which is passing), but I'm taking it 2 more times to try to get the best score possible.
I see this process this way: if we can fight to make it through this process and get into school, we're gonna be great nurses who will fight for the right thing for our patients.
Hey guys!!
I applied for the fall 2015/spring 2016 program at MJC. I am currently at 64 points with a TEAS score of 88.7. The TEAS exam was one of my last chances to gain points, so I wish I had studied more than just here and there. Each point counts like you wouldn't believe! Currently doing more volunteering so I can have an additional point. I wish MJC would post program applicant statistics. ARC did, and I think it's very helpful. Glad I found this site!
Yikes! Y'all have some high points! I'm hoping to bring up my score with the TEAS test as well, but looks like I've got some stiff competition! That's awesome!
Does anyone know friends points levels as well? I've asked around and can't find anybody applying this year! They're all going next year.

Hi all!
I've seen a few threads about TEAS V scores and points totals regarding getting into the Modesto Junior College nursing program. I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at, what my chances might be, what's working for everybody, etc.
personally, I have 63 points so far, got a 76% on the TEAS test. I'm planning on trying to work on a better score though.
Lets get the conversation going MJC crowd!!
