Modesto Junior College Fall 2013/Spring 2014

Hello everyone. I thought I would start a discussion on the application cycle for Modesto Junior College's ADN program. I called the nursing department about 3 weeks ago and was told that they are anticipating some 800 applicants and that they expect to have letters sent out no later then August 1st. :nailbiting: This is the last school I waiting to hear back from and the anticipation is killing me! I was just recently laid off from my job and am holding off on going back to work until I find out the results. How is everyone else holding up?

there is a sister campus in sonora that is columbia community college. but still ran by modesto junior college. You had to specify one or the other on your application. There are less seats for columbia, but far less applicant as most choose to apply for the modesto location.

Just think out of 800+ people only the top 200 will be chosen. That's scary. I hope we all get in.

would it be possible to try and register for the fall classes? like say you were admitted, would you be able to register for the two classes?

Not sure if you could register yet...I'm afraid to try! Haha! Sure wish they notified us by e-mail instead....I'm super impatient!!

When I saw the update on their website yesterday about our notification letters being mailed i couldn't sleep all night and was thinking "Accepted or not:(". It is very hard and frustrating, it is my BIG dream and I realllllyyyyyyyyyyy hope i Get IN as the rest of us. Only fellow applicants can understand how nerve wrecking and impossible this wait is. Lets post and update each other on the acceptance status. Hopefully our mail will come on Saturday, I cant wait till Monday!

So true about no one else can understand! I'm unrealistically hoping for it to be in the mail today, but I'm from the Lodi area so I doubt it! I'll settle for Saturday but not Monday?! No way! Haha this thread has so few participants, it would be awesome if we were all accepted and can share in the joy! Haha

I just got my letter but I'm scared to open it :/ if we got accepted wouldn't it be an acceptance packet? I dread opening it and being denied once again :(
