Hi Everyone. I will be applying to MJC nursing program this May 2016/17. I will be taking my Teas early April for the first time, but so far without my Teas I have 68 points on my application. Anyone who is applying to mjc, I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at and what my chances might be. Also if you could share what you scored on your teas and what do u think the cut off would be this year... So excited to hear back from u all :) :)
Might be a typo or worded wrong. Because I just asked her about it and she says that many applicants is overkill since most people accept their offer to the program so it would be useless work for them sort through, which actually makes sense.
Nonsense. You are absolutely correct mwearin. Thank you for your evidence-based comments.
I think you'll be fine at 75, I'm at 80 and was nervous. But from what I've gathered 70 does seem like the lowest documentation score. I'm more nervous for some of my friends who applied with 72 at this point. Honestly I think there are a large number of people between the 70-72 point range.
Well I know of someone who has a 69 now and were asked to submit documents. The 68s were not asked, so it seems 69 is the cutoff. Good luck everyone.
Hey all!I finally found this thread, so happy to connect with other people in the same application cycle. I was fortunate enough to be selected to provide documentation for the Columbia branch of the nursing program and am anxious to hear about acceptance!
Hi teeofawesome, welcome to the group!! Just curious, how many points did you apply with?? I also applied to Columbia, with 71 points. I'm impatiently waiting for July 18 to come around!
I have a pretty good point standing, 86, since I did a lot of CNA work. I am pretty sure I can get in with that, just hoping I didn't make any mistakes on my documentation.[/quoteWow! Great score! Lots of people must be stepping it up this year and have medical experience because I have 4.0, did all 3 extra classes and got in the mid 80s on my Teas.. and my score is 78. From what I hear, people really set the point bar high. Congrats on the 86 points, that is by far the highest score I have heard!
