Hello,
I'm taking an online class for Moderate Sedation and there is a certification at the end of the class. The website says that we can use, "CSRN" (Certified Sedation Registered Nurse) at the end of our name.
I guess my question is, is this legit and legal?
Thanks for your help!

The short answer is, I don't know. I've never heard of it.
I googled it but the only hit I got on it was a "booklet" advertising a class.
What is the website for your class? How did you find it? Was it recommended to you?

I don't know either. Does the course state some type of whatever state you live in, i.e., California State Board of Continuing Nursing Education Certified, or words to that effect? Or ask your local hospital, nursing education office if they know of it.
Received clarification from the Board of Registered Nursing. They said that there is nothing in the nurse practice act that prevents me from using the credential, CSRN.
BTW- I am a registered nurse in the state of California
Thanks for everyone's feedback!
